What is a Disc Bulge? 🤔🦴
A disc bulge happens when the soft cushion (intervertebral disc) between your spine bones starts to push outward from its normal position.
It’s not a “slipped disc,” but it can press on nearby nerves, leading to pain and discomfort.
🔹 Common symptoms may include:
• Lower back or neck pain
• Pain radiating to legs or arms
• Tingling or numbness
• Muscle weakness
• Pain that increases while sitting, bending, or lifting
🔹 Why does a disc bulge occur?
• Poor posture
• Long sitting hours
• Weak core & back muscles
• Sudden lifting or twisting
• Age-related disc wear
💡 Good news:
Most disc bulges do NOT need surgery. With the right physiotherapy, posture correction, core strengthening, and guided exercises, symptoms can be reduced significantly and daily life can become pain-free again.
📍 Early diagnosis + right rehab = faster recovery
📞 Don’t ignore persistent pain—your spine needs support, not silence.
