Every season, I hear the same thing: “Doctor, weather change ho gaya… isliye infection ho gaya.”😰🦠
But viral infections don’t happen because your child felt cold. They spread because children meet, play, share spaces, and pass viruses to each other.

What actually makes things worse?
Overdressing a child especially during fever. Too many layers trap heat, increase discomfort, and can even lead to dehydration or rashes.

Children don’t need protection from weather. They need comfort, movement, and sensible layering according to temperature. Sometimes, less is actually better care.

Many parents worry 😨 when they see dark stains on their child’s teeth after starting iron and the first thought is to stop the supplement. But in most cases, this staining is not harmful. It happens because liquid iron can temporarily stick to the surface of the teeth, especially if it stays in the mouth for longer.

✅ Iron is still very important for your child’s growth, brain development, and prevention of anemia. Instead of stopping it, small changes in how it’s given can reduce staining while keeping the benefits.

If you’ve noticed this with your child, you’re not alone it’s a common concern and usually manageable with the right technique.

Comment “Newborn” for a full detailed video ▶️. The first few weeks after delivery are often spoken about only from the baby’s perspective feeding support, sleep schedules, weight gain. But medically and emotionally, this is also the most demanding recovery phase for the mother.

Her body is healing from pregnancy and childbirth. Hormones are fluctuating. Sleep is fragmented. Breastfeeding is being established. It’s normal to feel unsure, tired, or overwhelmed, this is not failure, it’s physiology.🤱🏻

What actually helps in this phase isn’t more instructions. It’s practical support, reassurance, and time to recover. When families focus on helping the mother rest, eat well, and feel supported, both mother and baby do better.💕

Postpartum care is not just baby care. It’s mother care too.

Potty training is one of the most rushed milestones in parenting mostly because of comparison, not because of need. But children don’t learn this skill by force. They learn it when their muscles, brain, and confidence develop together.

Starting too early often leads to resistance. Starting at the right time makes it surprisingly easy.

Watch your child. They always give signals before they are ready we just need to notice them.

Trying to clean Ear wax yourself can do more harm than good. Most of the time, it comes out naturally. Most parents try to clean ear wax because it looks uncomfortable or “dirty.” But ear wax is actually protective: it traps dust, keeps the ear moist, and slowly moves outward on its own.
🚩 When we try to clean inside with earbuds, pins, or cloth, we usually push the wax deeper and risk hurting the delicate ear canal or eardrum.
🚩 That’s when pain, blockage, or infection can start.
✅ If your child isn’t uncomfortable, nothing needs to be done.

And if there are symptoms, it’s safer to let a doctor handle it rather than turning it into a bigger problem at home.If it’s bothering your child, let a doctor handle it safely.

Kids don’t choose the timing. Vomiting, loose motions, spills they just happen.
A small habit of stepping out prepared can save a lot of stress (for you and the child).
Parenting is easier when you plan for the unpredictable.

Every cough doesn’t need an antibiotic💊. But every unnecessary antibiotic makes the next infection harder to treat.
Most childhood colds are viral. They settle with time, fluids, and care not stronger medicines.
Using antibiotics without advice doesn’t make recovery faster, it just makes them stop working when we truly need them.

💭Have you ever been told to “just start an antibiotic”?

Homemade cerelac has become popular again but many babies are being given complex mixes too early.
At 6 months, babies don’t need variety. They need simplicity so their gut can learn to digest.

The goal of starting solids is not to make food “power-packed.” It’s to introduce foods safely, one step at a time.

Have you started solids yet, or are you planning to?

Comment ‘WEANING’ to continue with a more detailed video…Most feeding mistakes don’t look like mistakes. Parents think they’re doing the right thing starting early, giving light foods, feeding more, mixing milk.
But a baby’s gut doesn’t work on assumptions. It works on timing, texture, and patience.

✅ Right feeding isn’t complicated. It’s just often misunderstood.
Which advice confused you the most when you started solids?

Dal-chawal water has been a tradition, but tradition is not always nutrition.
After 6 months, babies need thick purees, real food and the right texture not just flavored water.
Right feeding today = better growth tomorrow.

💬 Did your family also suggest dal water first?
