from the Gurgaon - Highway near New Delhi. It is surrounded by rocky hills covered with trees unique to this oldest mountain range in the world, known as the "Aravali". Village Jewel Museum and Lodge reflects the lifestyle of the surrounding village. Beds are traditional "Charpoys" and were crafted by the same craftsman who supplies the village. The craftsman has won a National award for quality. Mattresses are made of traditional fluffed cotton. Bathrooms have a provision for bucket showers while the only nod to modernity are Western style toilets. All lights and fans are powered with Solar Power, two geysers provide hot water. The large 3rd floor roof terrace overlooks the six hundred year old Mangar village and surrounding hills. It is one of three areas in the Village Jewel Museum and Lodge that has ample space to hold 30 people comfortably.
