Which causes less ? or Hemorrhoidopexy?
In general, laser hemorrhoidopexy is considered to cause less postoperative pain than stapled hemorrhoidopexy (also called – Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids). Here's a comparison to help explain why:
🔹 Laser Hemorrhoidopexy
Technique: Minimally invasive, uses a laser probe to shrink the hemorrhoidal tissue by photocoagulation.
Pain Level: Minimal because:
There is no cutting or excision of tissue.
Less trauma to surrounding sensitive tissues.
Recovery: Faster, with many patients returning to normal activities within a few days.
Ideal for: Grade II–III hemorrhoids with minimal prolapse.

🔹 Stapled Hemorrhoidopexy (PPH)
: Involves stapling to excise a ring of mucosal tissue above the hemorrhoids and them upward.
Pain Level: Moderate (much less than conventional hemorrhoidectomy but generally more than laser), because:
Though it avoids the sensitive a**l skin, it involves deeper tissue manipulation and staple lines.
: Slightly longer; discomfort from the staple line may last a few days to a week.
Ideal for: III–IV hemorrhoids with significant prolapse.
