The Medical professionals of Rajasthan agitating against the Right to Health (RTH) bill of the Rajasthan Government will have to take important lessons from the Kisaan Andolan of 2021. This bill has been brought with an eye on the Assembly elections to be held in Oct-Nov 2023. If the medical professionals can successfully carry out their agitation in the months of Apr, May and June then the Gehlot government will be forced to climb down in the month of July due to the pressure of the elections. This bill is going to cripple the medical industry and will be a deathknell for the doctors. The doctors will have to stay united against this onslaught and make it a fight to finish. History will remember them if they succeed in their agitation and the history will not forgive them if they fail. It is now or never for the doctors of not only Rajasthan but the entire country.

TVS Ultrasound (Transvaginal Sonography) is the ultrasound of the lower abdomen done in women. Normally the ultrasound test is done by putting a probe on the abdomen. If the patient has excess fat on the abdomen then the images would not be very clear. However when the ultrasound is done by inserting a thin probe into the vaginal canal of the female then very good quality images of the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes and the ovaries can be obtained. In pregnancy the foetus lies in the uterus and therefore TVS Ultrasound would be far better than the abdominal ultrasound for getting the images of the foetus. Normally the female patients would not feel comfortable in getting this ultrasound done by a male radiologist and therefore some of our centres have the provision of female radiologist. Dr Shruti Sangwan, Dr Sumita Singh, Dr Baljeet Kaur and Dr Sonia are some of the finest female radiologists in the country. All our centres have ultrasound machines which are equipped with TVS probes. The TVS probe is a thin probe which can easily enter the vaginal canal without causing any discomfort. All are centres now have the facility of doing 3D TVS Ultrasound. The cost of TVS Ultrasound is in the range of Rs. 1000 - Rs. 2500 at different centres in Bhiwadi and Gurgaon.

Patients who are suffering from blockage in the blood vessels of the legs - arteries or veins can experience pain in the legs while walking. This could be due to the narrowing of the blood vessels which normally happen in smokers. This could also be due to fat deposits in the blood vessels. The diagnosis of the disease can be done by doing colour doppler study of the legs - Arterial / Venous Colour Doppler of the Legs. This is a very difficult and time consuming study and not all radiologists are adept at doing it. Not all ultrasound machines would be capable of doing the Legs Colour Doppler. However CT Angiography of the Legs is a very quick study which can be done in less than 2 minutes. The results of CT Angiography are also very good in making correct diagnosis. In this study, a contrast agent is injected in the blood. The CT Angiography can only be done if the patient has normal kidney function. If the patient has poor kidney function then Colour Doppler Study would be a better option.
