Longest Telesurgery in India!
We are proud to announce the successful completion of the longest telesurgery ever performed in India, conducted from the SS Innovations International, Inc., Headquarters in Gurugram to Hindusthan Hospital, Coimbatore, over a distance of 2,362 kilometres.
In this landmark achievement, Dr. Ramalingam Manickam, Consultant Urology, Hindusthan Hospital Coimbatore, performed a robotic ureteric reimplantation and reconstruction for megaureter in a 20 year old using the Mantra Surgical Robotic System. This accomplishment not only sets a new national record but also showcases the power of advanced surgical robotics and secure long-distance connectivity in transforming patient care.
This telesurgery marks an important expansion of our growing robotic surgery network, bringing cutting-edge surgical expertise closer to the people of Coimbatore and neighboring regions. It demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that geography is no longer a barrier to high-quality medical care.
