What I love about my work
Most women come to me confused, agitated, wondering what’s wrong. Then we begin the work. Yes, our work. If I give 120%, they must give 200% to themselves. No rescuing. No magic wand.
Because the real magic?
Showing up for yourself—even when you don’t like what you see.
Owning the anger, guilt, shame… all the parts you were taught to hide.
It’s not pretty. It’s not easy. It won’t leave you “blissed out.”
But what it leads to… is everything. My favourite moments are when
1. The insight or clarity finally lands in their body (not the mind, note please). Suddenly, the heaviness lifts, the body relaxes, shoulders go back, a sigh escapes their lips, they let go of their grip, their vision clears, etc.
2. The moment they realise that there is nothing wrong with them, but they just need to understand themselves better, or learn that lesson, or just see things differently.
3. When they finally understand the core need behind all their so-called imperfections and stop judging and criticising themselves for it. Followed by identifying new ways to address that core need.
4. When they rediscover their lost self, passions and joy and pursue it with all their might, the twinkle in their eyes that starts shining, the natural glow from within, the fire that can’t be tamed and the power that’s unstoppable.
5. My favourite of all is when they start reaching those insights on their own. When they seek and find answers and solutions within themselves, and call me just to share them later on. That’s when I know my work is done. This is what we had been working towards from the time they first stepped into my session or called me.
It is the most humbling and awe-inspiring thing to actually see a woman own herself fully.
