I would like to thank nephrologists from all over India who attended kidney transplant update 2024. We had some of the best names in the field of organ transplantation including dr Dorry Segev, Dr Jeremy Chapman, Dr kaseem safa, Dr Sishir Gang, Dr Bharat Shah , Dr N Gopalkrishnan, Dr Edwin Fernando , Dr Suceena Alexander and many others. The hall was full and there was good discussion in the session.

Today is world kidney day. Kidney disease affects 1 and 10 persons. Diabetes and hypertension are the leading causes of CKD. CKD has become 7th most common cause of death worldwide. In India 2-2.5 lacs people develop kidney failure means require dialysis or kidney transplantation.We should spread awareness to prevent and slow the progression of CKD.
