Welcome to being a fresher in 2024 🎓🙃
Where the rules make absolutely NO sense...

They say “Degrees don’t matter anymore, show us your skills” 📜❌

Okay cool, so we learned skills 💻
Then they say “Get an internship for experience” 👔
Sure! But wait... it’s UNPAID 💸🚫

Fine, we survived that too 😤
Now it’s time for a real job right? WRONG ❌
“Sorry, we need freshers with 2-3 years of experience” 🤡
FRESHERS. WITH. EXPERIENCE.
Make it make sense please 🙏😭

We did everything they told us to do:
Study hard ✓
Get good grades ✓
Learn extra skills ✓
Do internships ✓
But the goalposts keep moving 🏃‍♀️

Our parents had ONE degree and got stable jobs for life 👴
We have degrees, diplomas, certifications, courses, internships... and still get “We’ll get back to you” 📧

The system isn’t broken. It was never built for us 🔨

But here’s what they forgot to mention...
Strict parents raise kids who learn to lie before they learn to trust 🎭

We didn’t become liars because we wanted to. We became liars because telling the truth was never safe ❌
Speaking up meant arguments 🗣️

Having opinions meant disrespect 😶
Asking for freedom meant lectures 📢

So we learned the game early:
Say yes when you mean no ✓
Smile when you’re breaking inside ✓
Hide your real life like it’s a crime ✓

Strict parenting doesn’t build discipline 📏
It builds anxiety 😰
It doesn’t build respect 🙏

It builds resentment 😤
It doesn’t build trust 🤝
It builds FEAR 😨

And fear? Fear builds the best liars you’ll ever meet 🎪
We didn’t lose our honesty. It was taken from us the moment truth became dangerous ⚠️

The saddest part? They’ll never know the real us. And somehow that’s supposed to be good parenting? 💔

So let me get this straight... 🤔

At 20, I’m apparently mature enough to get married 💍, adjust to a completely new family 👨‍👩‍👧, handle a husband’s expectations, manage an entire household 🏠, and even raise kids 👶

But a weekend road trip with my girlfriends? 🚗💨
“You’re still too young for all that” 🙄
“Girls shouldn’t be roaming around outside” 😤

“What will people say?” 🗣️
So basically I can take on life-altering responsibilities that will define my entire future... but I can’t be trusted to have fun with my own friends for 2 days?

The logic? Non-existent ❌
The hypocrisy? Crystal clear ✨

The frustration? REAL 💯
Why is independence only acceptable when it serves tradition? Why does “grown up” only apply when it’s convenient for society?

Ready to handle a lifetime commitment but not a two-day getaway 🤡
