At Arman - A Centre for Your Emotional and Mental Well-being, we are delighted to share our involvement in the three-month Counseling Course for De-Addiction Treatment, conducted by the State Level Coordinating Agency on Drugs Prevention for Assam and Meghalaya.

On 21st and 23rd November, our Founder and Chief Therapist, Anisha Sheikh, conducted insightful sessions on:
1. Nature of Counseling and Ethical Issues
2. The Counseling Process
3. Theoretical Principles for Brief Interventions, such as Motivational Interviewing
4. Relapse Prevention Strategies

The sessions focused on equipping professionals with the tools and techniques necessary to effectively support individuals on their recovery journey. It was a privilege to interact with such motivated and passionate participants who are committed to creating meaningful change.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of a series of workshops conducted by our Founder and Chief Therapist, Anisha Sheikh, with the Social Work students of NEF College, Guwahati. From August to November, this journey has been nothing short of incredible, filled with meaningful exchanges and the opportunity to inspire bright, young minds.

These workshops provided a platform to explore critical concepts, foster curiosity, and engage in impactful discussions. The enthusiasm and dedication of the students have been truly inspiring, making each session an absolute pleasure to conduct.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the authorities of NEF College and the HOD of the Social Work Department for their trust and collaboration. A heartfelt thanks also goes to Ms. Paridhi for recommending Anisha and facilitating this fruitful partnership.

Grateful to be invited as a resource person to conduct training for 3 days on counselling processes, various models of counselling and various other topics related to de addiction issues.
The workshop was organised by the committee on socio economic and health development Assam (COSEHDA) under the Ministry of social justice and empowerment ; Govt of India to train the trainers in substance use prevention and rehabilitation.
