Is this you? 🤔

🚩 One of the key reasons people self-sabotage is a lack of self-esteem. 🙂
This can have many different causes, but the effects are the same: feelings of worthlessness or incompetence, the belief that you don't deserve success, and even self-hatred. 😞☹️

Here are eight tips to stop self-sabotaging: 💁🏻‍♀️

👉 Boost Your Self-Awareness.

👉Look Before You Leap.

👉Set Meaningful Goals & Pair Them With an Action Plan.

👉Make Small Changes.

👉Befriend Yourself.

👉Know & Embrace Your Strengths.

👉Practice Mindfulness.

👉Work With a Mental Health Therapist.

🚩 Truths People Living with Depression Will Understand 👉 🙍‍♀️🙎‍♂️

✨If you are living with depression, I think these statements will sound very familiar to you:

1️⃣There is nothing worse than feeling depressed when by all accounts things in your life are going well and you ‘should’ be happy.

2️⃣You start thinking more and more negatively and while you often know what you are doing, you just can’t stop.

3️⃣You know what it’s like to sleep for a full 8 (or more) hours and yet still feel like you could sleep for days.

4️⃣There are days when all the money, chocolate, or love in the world couldn’t make you get out of bed.

5️⃣You know what it feels like to walk around with a smile on your face while on the inside you are barely holding it together.

6️⃣There is nothing more isolating than opening up to someone about how you are feeling and hearing things like “it is just a phase”, “you are just having a bad day” and the best of them all… “have you tried exercising”.

7️⃣You know what it’s like to feel completely hollow and numb even when doing the things you love most.

✨These truths are not to make you feel worse, rather to show you that you are not going through this alone. 👩‍⚕️

🚩Here are some terms that can help you put your feelings into words and also help to recognize that it's time to get some help. ⏳

How is your perfectionism triggered? 🤷🏻‍♀️💥

🚩Perfectionism is often triggered when you make a mistake because they are the signs of imperfections. Anytime you make a mistake or you anticipate making one, you will adhere on to your Perfectionism to manage the situation.

🚩 Perfectionism indulges you to worry that something imperfect might happen, whenever there is a sudden change in schedule.

🚩Perfectionism in relationships is triggered when you have to set boundaries by asserting your needs. The fear of disappointing the other person or fear of letting them down leads to people-pleasing.

Since May is a time to raise awareness of those living with mental or behavioral health issues and to help reduce the stigma regarding the same. 😇
It has been an honour that our Licensed Clinical Psychologist Mrs. Poulomi Bhattacharjee Roy was invited, for an interactive session as a guest speaker and also as a resource person for conducting a workshop among the students and faculties of the reputed institution on the Post- Covid Challenges on Students Mental Health and Management.
The program was very well- organised and has been an enriching experience to cherish.
Gratitude remains to the organisers and the coordinators for initiating an outstanding idea during the mental health awareness month.

✨ just washing hands. OCD is a painful disorder that involves intrusive thoughts, severe anxiety, with debilitating compulsions that are often not visible (occur mentally).
✨ an adjective. No one can be
"so OCD"

things neat, symmetrical or a certain
way.

Know it! Before you label to anyone. 💯🧘🏻‍♀️

✨Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is not a choice.
✨We all have things that perhaps we obsess over, but for a person with OCD they can’t just “snap out of it.”
✨Research has shown that the brain of a person with OCD actually functions differently in this situation, essentially getting “stuck” on a thought. These thoughts are linked with intense anxiety driving the individual with OCD to engage in compulsive behavior — their only escape.
✨A person with OCD doesn’t obsessively clean their kitchen just because they like it to be clean.
✨ A person with OCD is overwhelmed with anxiety and fear about what will happen if they don’t clean their kitchen properly.
