What happens when women come together?
They uplift, empower, and change the narrative — not by competing, but by fixing each other’s crowns 👸

“She Connects” was a celebration of women entrepreneurs — their resilience, vision, and spirit! I was truly honoured to be invited as one of the panellists for a deeply engaging and interactive discussion that left me both inspired and humbled!

Gratitude to Barsha Dutta for the kind invitation, and heartfelt thanks to my fellow panelists for sharing the dais and their powerful journeys. It was a privilege to listen to such inspiring stories.

And a special shoutout to all the incredible men who stood as allies — as co-panellists, anchors, and sponsors — you all were amazing 🙏🏻
A Sunday well-spent 😍😇

🌀 Survivor’s Guilt: When Thriving Feels Like a Burden
A message of healing and hope from The MindScape

Sometimes, surviving isn’t a relief — it’s a quiet ache.
The laughter feels too loud. The peace feels unfair. The joy… feels like a betrayal.

This is Survivor’s Guilt — a deeply human response to trauma, tragedy, or simply doing better in life than someone you love.

💔 It can arise after:
• Accidents, illness, disasters, su***de
• Losing someone to addiction or violence
• Or when you survive, and someone you love doesn’t

🔸 Sibling Survivor’s Guilt is real:
When one sibling thrives, while the other struggles with illness, trauma, or personal loss.

👉 “Why me?”
👉 “Should I hide my happiness?”
👉 “Am I allowed to feel joy?”

These thoughts can lead to:
• Guilt and emotional suppression
• Shame about success
• Hyper-responsibility for someone else’s pain

🧠 Psychology says:
We search for meaning in suffering — especially those with deep empathy or trauma bonds.

But here’s the truth:
You didn’t cause their pain.
Your joy doesn’t take away theirs.
You are allowed to live fully.

🌱 Healing Involves:
• Naming the guilt
• Creating healthy boundaries
• Seeking therapy
• Finding meaning through compassion
• Practicing self-kindness

🎗️ You are not responsible for their path — but you are responsible for your healing.
Living fully is not betrayal. It’s courage.

✨ Stop dimming your light. Shine — not to forget, but to honour.

🧠 Your Brain Can Change — And So Can You 🌱

Did you know your brain has the power to rewire itself? This is called neuroplasticity — your brain’s ability to form new pathways, strengthen healthier ones, and let go of patterns that no longer serve you.

The best part? It’s happening all the time, often without you even realizing it. Every habit, every thought, every reaction is shaping your brain.

But with intention and small changes, you can guide that process in a powerful new direction.

Here are some proven ways to boost neuroplasticity and create lasting change:

✨ CBT – Rewrites unhelpful thought patterns and emotional responses
🌍 Travel – Introduces novelty and boosts mental flexibility
🎵 Music – Strengthens pathways tied to memory, emotion & coordination
📚 Learning – Builds new brain connections and keeps your mind agile
🏃‍♀️ Movement – Increases brain growth proteins like BDNF
🧘‍♂️ Meditation – Enhances emotional balance and awareness
😴 Deep Sleep – Consolidates learning and clears brain clutter
🧩 Cognitive Training – Sharpens memory, focus, and decision-making
🤝 Social Connection – Grows emotional intelligence and resilience
🔄 Breaking Autopilot – Even one new choice can start a new neural path

Every time you try something new or shift how you respond — you are literally reshaping your brain. With consistent practice, you strengthen these new mental pathways and open the door to transformation.

💡 You’re not stuck. Your brain is always ready to grow. These are your tools for lasting change.

✨ When Kindness Becomes a Mask: Understanding Communal Narcissism ✨

Not all narcissism looks like arrogance or spotlight-chasing.

Some narcissists show up as helpers — the volunteers, the donors, the ones constantly praised as the “pillars of the community.” This is called communal narcissism — a lesser-known, more confusing form where validation comes from appearing morally superior or endlessly giving.

But behind the scenes?

They may be emotionally dismissive, controlling, or even cruel — especially to those closest to them.

This creates a painful double bind:
💔 Society praises them.
💔 Their partner feels unseen, confused, even gaslit.

🧠 Communal narcissists weaponize kindness. They give to feel admired, not to connect. They may avoid emotional intimacy, vulnerability, or accountability.

Over time, their partners start to question themselves:
– “Everyone thinks I’m lucky to have them… so why do I feel so alone?”
– “They do so much for others… maybe I’m just too sensitive?”

This dynamic leads to relational gaslighting, where your emotional reality gets slowly erased.

If you’ve ever felt invisible in someone else’s spotlight, you’re not imagining it. You’re not alone.

🌿 Healing begins with naming the pattern.
Choose relationships where kindness isn’t a performance — but a shared, authentic experience. 💛

Reflecting on 27th May 2025

We are proud to share that our Co-Founder, Psychologist Chandana Bhuyan, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on Doordarshan Guwahati. There, she joined a meaningful conversation on the rising criminal cases and the state of community mental health in Assam.

The panel brought together key perspectives—Advocate Santanu Sarkar insightfully discussed the legal frameworks surrounding criminal behaviour, while Chandana Bhuyan shed light on the psychosocial foundations of criminal behaviour, exploring how developmental, social, and parenting factors contribute to these patterns.

The discussion was thoughtfully anchored by Madhumita Goswami, whose probing questions and seamless moderation added depth and clarity to the dialogue. Kumarikata na

Your weekly emotional check-in:
3 hrs with your child?
6 hrs with your partner?
2 hrs with a friend?

Emotional availability isn’t about time—it’s about presence.

Be there. Be real. Be open.

Emotional availability is a measurable component of relational health.
Research suggests that emotionally attuned presence for as little as 3–6 hours per week in close relationships can significantly impact emotional security and psychological well-being.

Whether with a child, partner, or friend—consistent emotional engagement fosters trust, resilience, and intimacy. Let’s prioritize quality emotional presence as a clinical and relational goal.

All about today …..
“Sadhguru” through a Mental Health Professional’s lens:

There are very few influential persons who have in-depth knowledge and have the ability to move not only the masses but also the Sceptics!
Mental health issues are becoming a pandemic now— he is very right about there! Our life is nothing but a result of our choices- very right! But, in many situations, Mental illness is NOT a choice! And, even though I agree that one should not use psychological terms like “Trauma”, and “Depression” lightly; but, we cannot generalise them either! Trauma is real, PTSD is real, and complex trauma is real! I would love to have a discussion/debate about it with him someday 😅 (how ambitious of me 😅)
I have always admired how he explains deep spiritual concepts in simple language! Today was no different! Starting from “God resides in every one of us” to the explanation of “Yoni” (Womb) puja in India— he was marvellous!!
A beautiful experience indeed 😇

P.S.: Request to everyone not to post any hateful comments even if you don’t agree with his ideologies, or, don’t like the person for whatever reasons. Showing respect to another human being is a very basic fundamental value in our country…
