Dear Well-wishers,

We are fortunate enough to be celebrating our 7th Foundation Day. 7 years back, we with our utmost grace laid the grounds of successfully establishing this institution that binds people to lead a disciplined, sober and secure life. Our aim is to help people identify substance abuse as a disorder and work towards managing and nullifying the adverse effects of this disorder. We work towards approaching this disorder and related mental health disorders holistically. We, in a parallel way, try to create awareness in the community as well.

Today, Sobriety Foundation’s Director Simanta Das, among other delegates, was invited by the honourable Chief Minister of Assam to discuss the modalities of drug de- addiction treatment facilities in the state and what can be done to better the treatment facilities. We were honoured to be part of the discussion. We all put forward some important points which were then noted. Hope this fight against drugs get stronger.
