It has been a dream of Dr Pramod Kr Sharma, CMD Pratiksha Hospitals Pvt Ltd to establish a college of Nursing which will help in reducing the scarcity of professional nurses in the health care industry as well as to promote women empowerment with higher education and Pratiksha School of Nursing is the first step to achieve that. The school is providing diploma course in nursing education for preparing of specialist in nursing care. The curriculum is designed to allow students the opportunity to become self-directed generalist who will be able to function in a variety of settings. The school seeks to enroll students who represent racial, cultural and geographic diversity and to prepare students for employment in multicultural society.

Learning goes beyond classrooms when compassion meets real-world care.

As part of their curriculum, our B.Sc Nursing 4th Year students visited the Old Age Home-cum-Rehabilitation Centre at Dakhigaon (Smile Model Pilot Project), Guwahati.

During the visit, students:
✔️ Conducted health screening (Blood Pressure & Blood Sugar monitoring for NCDs)
✔️ Performed a joyful Bihu dance to engage and uplift residents
✔️ Distributed light refreshments and spent meaningful time with them

The Community Health Nursing Department, along with 5th Semester B.Sc. Nursing students, successfully conducted a Post-Celebration program for International Epilepsy Day 2026 at Kolbari Suba Anganwadi Centre.

The initiative aimed to educate the local community about epilepsy, seizure first-aid, myth-busting, and the importance of timely medical intervention.
