From no teeth to fixed teeth in 3 days.
Patient reported with missing lower front teeth.
Placed 2 corticobasal implants in 31 and 41 region and rehabilitated with laser sintered PFM crowns.
Case was challenging as the interdental space between 32 and 42 was less and bone width was inadequate.

Simple bread and butter dentistry
no special case
just a simple case done properly

Patient presented with failed splinted bridge with respect to upper anteriors and pain in the underlying teeth.

Abutments were compromised structurally and the pulpal status of the teeth didn't look good.

Endodontic treatments followed by post and core builds ups was done followed by converting preparations in vertical preparations to conserve the precious dentin.

Selective crown lengthening was done simultaneoulsy to gain some healthy tooth structure and to give a acceptable esthetic result.

Temporisation was done for 3 weeks for the soft tissue contouring and healing.

Final single anterior crowns were given.

Simple case but meticulously done keeping all the basics in mind.

Treating a single anterior (front) tooth for aesthetic crown with perfect proportions and shade matching can be quite challenging for the dentist as well as the dental ceramist as it requires precise tooth preparation , accurate impressions and meticulous craftsmanship and an eye for utmost details. It involves careful considerations of factors like tooth anatomy which includes macro as well as micro anatomy, color gradients and translucency to create a natural looking restoration that blends seamlessly with the surrounding teeth.

Sharing such a case where a lot of blood and sweat was put to achieve outstanding results. Its not always a happy ending if either of the two (dentist or the dental ceramist) fails in perfect ex*****on. These pursuits require time and focus to develop a life like restoration. And its 'just not a single crown' as most people think.

Anterior esthetic restorations are a challenging task since it involves a lot of things done correctly to give the patient a life like prosthesis. Sharing a case done recently at our clinic for a young patient who had lost his tooth at an early age due to trauma. Implants was given as an option to the patient but he opted for fixed bridge. Tried my best to deliver a satisfactory prosthesis.
