Gradually, people began to come forward and the momentum snowballed. Today, registered under the Trust Act, it is running in four corners of the city adjoining the localities where the poor live. The first such dispensary came into existence on February 23, 1994, at 4, Prem Nagar, with Dr. J. Arya offering his services for the treatment of patients free of charge. Later, as the cooperation of the people increased, another dispensary was started in Vinay Nagar Sector-1. Impressed with the selfless service of the poor, even the petty shopkeepers, the class one officers and former ministers started extending their co-operation. The Trust is dedicated to provide free health and medical services to the poor and free education in slum areas. With this aim, the Trust has started a school with two teachers at Mari Mata, Mahalgaon, Fort Road to impart free education to the children of the backward classes.
