For over twenty years, the memory of this day has been a touchstone in my life, a reminder of the profound humility and mystery at the heart of healing. Seeing a question online today prompted me to finally share it.

In 2001, I was a 26-year-old Reiki Master, still very much a student on my own path. A client, Mrs. Kapoor—a gracious lady in her late 50s—came for her Level 1 initiation with her daughter-in-law.

The attunement process was peaceful. But when it was over, and she opened her eyes, they were filled with tears of awe. Before I could speak, she did something that completely humbled me: she touched my feet in a gesture of deep respect, calling me "Guruji."

When I asked her to share her experience, her voice trembled with reverence. She told me that as soon as she closed her eyes, she saw Lord Shiva, radiant and peaceful. Startled, she opened her eyes.

And then she said something I will never forget:

"I did not see you. I saw Lord Shiva in your place. It was not a vision overlaying you; it was as if He Himself was performing the initiation. I closed my eyes in disbelief, and I saw Him. I opened my eyes, and I still saw Him. This happened three or four times. Guruji, you were not there. It was only Him."

In that moment, the room felt sanctified. She hadn't received the attunement from me; she had received it directly from the source, from the Adiyogi himself. The experience was so powerful that it led me to step back from teaching Reiki for a decade, from 2004 to 2014, to integrate and deepen my own spiritual understanding.

This experience taught me the ultimate lessons:
1️⃣ The healer's ego must dissolve completely to be a clear conduit.
2️⃣ True healing energy intelligently speaks the language of the recipient's soul.
3️⃣ Our role is not to be the source, but to become a transparent vessel for the divine.

It was this woman, through her unwavering devotion, who truly initiated me into a deeper understanding of service. I returned to healing work in 2015, exploring other modalities like Divine Healing, Akashic Records, and Past Life Healing, but always carrying this core lesson of humility.

I share this today for anyone on a healing or spiritual path. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is get out of our own way and allow the grace to flow through us.

बीस साल से भी ज़्यादा समय से, यह अनुभव मेरे दिल में एक ख़ास जगह बनाए हुए है... एक ऐसी याद जो मुझे हमेशा विनम्र रहने की याद दिलाती है। आज एक सवाल पढ़कर यह याद ताज़ा हो गई और मैंने सोचा इसे आप सबके साथ साझा करूं।

साल 2001 की बात है। मैं 26 साल का एक युवा रेकी मास्टर था, अभी अपने रास्ते पर चलना सीख ही रहा था। एक दिन मेरी क्लाइंट, श्रीमती कपूर (लगभग 55-60 वर्ष की एक सौम्य महिला) अपनी बहू के साथ रेकी लेवल 1 की दीक्षा लेने आईं।

दीक्षा का प्रक्रिया शांतिपूर्वक सम्पन्न हुई। पर जैसे ही उन्होंने आँखें खोलीं, उनकी आँखें आश्चर्य और श्रद्धा से भरी हुई थीं। मैंने कुछ कहा भी नहीं था कि उन्होंने मेरे पैर छू लिए और मुझे "गुरुजी" कहकर संबोधित किया।

जब मैंने उनसे उनके अनुभव के बारे में पूछा, तो उनकी आवाज़ भक्ति से कांप रही थी। उन्होंने बताया कि जैसे ही उन्होंने आँखें बंद कीं, उन्होंने भगवान शिव को अपने सामने प्रकाशमय और शांत स्वरूप में देखा। हैरानी में उन्होंने आँखें खोलीं।

और फिर उन्होंने जो कहा, वो शब्द मैं कभी नहीं भूल सकता:

"मैंने आपको नहीं देखा, गुरुजी। मैंने आपकी जगह स्वयं भगवान शिव को देखा। यह कोई दृष्टि नहीं थी, ऐसा लग रहा था मानो वह स्वयं मुझे दीक्षा दे रहे हों। मैंने अविश्वास में फिर से आँखें बंद की, तो वही दृश्य था। मैंने आँखें खोलीं, तो भी वही प्रकाशमय स्वरूप वहां था। यह क्रम तीन-चार बार हुआ। गुरुजी, आप वहां नहीं थे... केवल वही थे।"

उस पल कमरा एक पवित्र स्थान जैसा लग रहा था। उन्होंने दीक्षा मुझसे नहीं, बल्कि सीधे ईश्वर से, आदियोगी स्वयं से प्राप्त की थी। यह अनुभव इतना गहरा था कि इसने मुझे 2004 से 2014 तक एक दशक के लिए रेकी सिखाने से विराम लेने पर मजबूर कर दिया, ताकि मैं इसके गहरे अर्थ को आत्मसात कर सकूं।

इस अनुभव ने मुझे वो सबक सिखाए जो ज़रूरी थे:
1️⃣ एक सच्चे हीलर का अहं पूरी तरह से विलीन हो जाना चाहिए।
2️⃣ दिव्य ऊर्जा स्वयं ही भक्त की आस्था की भाषा बोलती है।
3️⃣ हमारा काम स्रोत बनना नहीं, बल्कि एक पारदर्शी माध्यम बनना है।

वास्तव में, उस महिला ने अपने श्रद्धा भाव से मुझे सेवा का असली मतलब सिखाया। मैं 2015 में हीलिंग के क्षेत्र में वापस आया और डिवाइन हीलिंग, आकाशिक अभिलेख, पास्ट लाइफ हीलिं जैसी अन्य विधाएं भी सीखीं, पर वह सबक हमेशा मेरे साथ रहा।

यह कहानी मैं हर उस इंसान के लिए शेयर कर रहा हूँ जो एक आध्यात्मिक या हीलिंग के सफर पर है। कई बार सबसे ज़रूरी बस इतनी होती है कि हम अपने आप को भगवान के हवाले कर दें... और उसकी दिव्य कृपा को हमारे ज़रिए बहने दें।
