✅ Warthin’s tumor (papillary cystadenoma lymphomatosum) is a benign salivary gland tumor, almost exclusively found in the parotid gland.

🔹 Epidemiology
✔️ Second most common benign salivary gland tumor (after pleomorphic adenoma)
✔️ More common in males, typically 50–70 years old
✔️ Strongly associated with smoking

🔹 Histology
✔️ Cystic spaces lined by double-layered epithelium:

Inner layer: Oncocytic epithelial cells (eosinophilic, granular cytoplasm)

Outer layer: Basal cells
✔️ Lymphoid stroma with germinal centers

🔹 Clinical Features
✔️ Painless, slow-growing mass in the parotid region
✔️ Often bilateral or multifocal
✔️ No facial nerve involvement (unlike malignant tumors)

🔹 Diagnosis
✔️ Clinical exam + imaging (Ultrasound, MRI/CT)
✔️ Fine needle aspiration (FNA) – confirms benign nature
✔️ Histology = papillary cystic structure + lymphoid tissue

🔹 Management
✔️ Surgical excision (superficial parotidectomy)
✔️ Low recurrence risk if completely excised
