It’s no secret — getting your kids to eat the right foods can be tough. But the first step to establishing your kids' healthy eating is to understand it yourself. Nutrition is a critical part of health and development. Better nutrition is related to improved infant, child and maternal health, stronger immune systems, safer pregnancy and childbirth, lower risk of non-communicable diseases (such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease), and longevity. The phase of pre and post Child Birth plays a very vital role in overall health of women as-well as the child. For all couples, well being of the child is utmost priority in this phase. Parents play a key role in promoting healthy eating. Right from the start, choosing to breastfeed gives babies a nutritional boost and may help them learn to better regulate their food intake. Through this page I intend to educate and advise parents regarding importance of Nutrition in Childhood and Adolescence. I also intend to provide nutritional advice to expectant and lactating mothers.
