Sudden face paralysis can be frightening, but it isn’t always a stroke.
Bell’s palsy is a condition where one side of the face becomes weak due to involvement of the facial nerve, often after a viral infection. It can cause face drooping, mouth deviation, and difficulty in controlling facial movements.
The reassuring part is that this condition is usually temporary and improves with proper treatment and physiotherapy.
If you or your loved ones notice sudden facial weakness, it’s important to get it evaluated early to confirm the diagnosis and start the right treatment.
