🌞👨‍👦 Sun and Son: The Story of Makar Sankranti👨‍👦🌅

Makar Sankranti, falling on January 14th (or occasionally the 15th), follows the solar calendar, a unique distinction in Hindu festivals. This celebration honors the sun, Surya Dev, and commemorates his reconciliation with his estranged son, Shani. ☀️👦

The tale unfolds with Surya's marriage to Sanjana, daughter of celestial architect Vishwakarma. Sanjana, unable to endure Surya's radiance, created a shadow clone, Chaya, and returned to her maternal home. Unaware of this, Surya continued his life. When Shani, born dark and sickly due to Chaya's penances, was rejected by Surya, the father-son conflict deepened. 🌑🤱

The narrative weaves through the disputes and the eventual intervention of Shiva, leading to reconciliation. Makar Sankranti symbolizes the sun's transit into Capricorn (Makara), marking the end of winter and the onset of warmer days—Uttarayan. Capricorn is ruled by Shani, making it the time for Surya to dwell in Shani's house, signifying unity, letting go of ego and arrogance. 🌄🌟

Makar Sankranti embraces diverse celebrations across India, from Magh Bihu to Lohri and Pongal, connecting with natural elements like air (kite flying), water (ritual bathing), fire (Lohri), and earth (various food items). 🪁🌊🔥🌾

The absence of Murti Puja (idol worship) during Makar Sankranti reflects a unique aspect, contrasting with many other Sanatan Dharma festivals. This intricate philosophy ties back to another festival, Chaat Puja. 🕉️

Reflecting on the age-old celebration, such as Bhisma lying on the bed of arrows during Mahabharata for 58 days, underscores the deep astronomical knowledge of our ancient rishis. This alignment of spirituality with science highlights the profound philosophy embedded in the practice of Sanatan Dharma. 🙏🌌

🌟 Karma Yoga: The Path of Action Without Attachment 🌟

The Sanskrit word “Karma” is derived from the root word “Kru,” translating as “work, deed, or action.”

Karma Yoga's primary goal is to attain moksha (enlightenment) through one’s actions and work in the world. It purifies the mind and cleanses the heart, promoting positive feelings like humility, kindness, compassion, and joy. This transformative process reduces negative emotions and turns ordinary actions into acts of spiritual connection and mindfulness.

Consciousness, the Loving Awareness that makes life possible! Like the sun illumines everything around it, Karma Yoga illuminates actions with selflessness, positive feelings, and a worshipful attitude. Bhagavad Gita further explains Karma Yoga as the practice linked to fulfilling one's Dharma or personal duty. Selfless actions for the right causes, with a positive attitude, are considered a form of worship.

🌟 Key Teachings:
- Surrender outcomes, burn actions in the fire of wisdom.
- Act without attachment, free from desires and fears.
- Be serene, untainted, and content, acting with a selfless heart.
- Karma Yoga is selfless service unto humanity, an act of sacred joy.

✨ Practice Tips:
- Be kind and generous to yourself and loved ones.
- Approach all actions with a positive attitude.
- Realign goals to benefit others, reducing ego focus.
- Serve humanity without attachment or egoism.

According to the Bhagavad Gita, practicing Karma Yoga transcends the cycle of karma, freeing us from the bo***ge of suffering. Expectations are relinquished, leading to peace.

🌺 Guru's Wisdom: "Every act of love brings happiness; there is no act of love that does not bring peace and blessedness as its reaction."

🕉️ Description: Karma Yoga is the consecration of all actions and their fruits unto the Lord. It is the performance of actions dwelling in union with the Divine, removing attachment and remaining balanced in success and failure. 🌸 "

16/06/2023

Kriya Yoga: path of meditation, which leads to the inner realization of God.

Fundamentally, kriya means internal action. It is an ancient meditation technique of energy and breath control, or pranayama. It is part of a comprehensive spiritual path, which includes additional meditation practices along with right living. The Kriya yoga system consists of levels of pranayama, mantra, and mudra, intended to rapidly accelerate spiritual development and engender a profound state of tranquillity and God-communion. When you do inner action, it does not involve the body and mind because these are still peripheral to you. When you have a certain mastery to do action with your energy, then it is a kriya. If you do external activity we call it karma and if its internal activity we call it kriya. In a way, both are certain kind of karmas, or of kriyas. But traditionally, or in the general sense of the term it is understood like this: karmas are those which bind you, kriyas are those which release you. Whatever we do with your body, your attitude, and your thought, for example today your thoughts may go in one direction, tomorrow it works in a different way based on the persons and perceptions. Similarly, whatever we do with our body, it implicates as per the daily needs, but emotions are not reliable as per body or mind.. Whereas the energies are different and once we start working with the energy in a certain way, it has a different kind of depth to life. So, Kriya Yoga is the most effective technique available to mankind today for reaching the goal of Yoga with the divine and is so effective because it works directly with the source of growth — the spiritual energy deep in our spines. Suddenly, there is a different dimension to every aspect of your life because your energies have been touched and activated in a completely different way. However, it is more direct, and It helps the practitioner to control the life force by mentally drawing that life force up and down the spine, with awareness and will. Kriya yoga is a very powerful way to walk the spiritual path, This process takes about a year, but this also depends on each individual. It is natural to think of any training we receive in terms of outer goals, yet with the Path of Kriya, much more is involved. The Path of Kriya Yoga involves learning and practicing spiritual techniques that promote inner transformation. Each of these techniques needs to be integrated into one’s life before moving forward. If you are sitting on something which is comfortable, enjoy it – there is no problem about it. But if you are constantly seeking comfort, then that kind of mind and emotion is unsuitable for the path of kriya yoga. Kriya yoga is important only if you want to do things beyond realisation. If your interest is only to somehow escape this prison and get away, you just want enlightenment or Mukti, then you don't really have to walk the kriya yoga path because kriyas are so elaborate and involve so much discipline and focus. If you just want to be liberated, then kriyas can be used in a small way, it need not be too intense. Kriya as a whole path is not necessary because it needs too much application. That is why it is a much longer process, People who have come up on kriya have a completely different kind of presence about them because of the mastery over their energies. They can dismantle life and put it back together. Those who practice Kriya Yoga share many different experiences on how their life has been changed. Why of perception will change in such a way, Instead of nervousness and stress, we feel centred, calm, and peaceful. We able to feel Divine Mother’s love and it’s helps us to cope and stay sane and even joyful in any hard times/situations. We have seen that when people practice Kriya without proper instruction, they often practice this subtle technique incorrectly and don’t gain the benefits. If people practice without trying to attune to the Guru’s grace, again, they don’t feel the full results and often lose interest in the practice. By preparing more completely, people usually embark on a lifelong commitment.

For such more wisdom you can join group and feel free to ask questions regarding Kriya Yoga.
Also don’t forget to share with your loved 💕ones thanks 🙏

08/06/2023

Today will learn little about Prana and the five elements.

The major elements of Human Body are related to the 5 Elements of nature.

All the creation is made up of five elements in different proportions. Likewise, the human body also consists of these 5 elements in different proportions.

Our ancestors say, human body covers 72% water, 12% earth, 6% air, 4% fire and the rest is Ether. Usually, the percentages of the first four elements remain constant but the percentage of Ether can be enhanced. Each element is representing different structures in the body.
Earth forms solid structures such as teeth, nails, bones, muscles, skin, tissues, and hair. With this we get structure and strength to the body.
Water formation is of saliva, urine, semen, blood, and sweat.
Fire formation is of hunger, thirst, sleep, the vision in the eyes and complexion of the skin.
Air is responsible for all movement including expansion, contraction, vibration, and suppression.
Space is the most subtle of all elements and is present in the hollow cavities of the body in the form of radio frequencies, light radiation, cosmic rays, etc.

The “Prana” (vital force) in the human body is also directly connected to these 5 Elements. The Law of Nature demands these elements to be in balance.
Imbalance of the 5 Elements of nature is the cause of most diseases.
The source of chronic (self-manifested) Disease is the impurity of any of the element or if the elements imbalances with another in the body.
1. Imbalance of Water element: This is visible as excess mucus, cold, sinusitis, swelling of glands, edema of tissues, blood thinning or blood clotting.
2. Imbalance of Earth element: shows itself as general weakness in the body, loss of calcium from bones, obesity, cholesterol, weight loss, and weight gain, muscular diseases, etc.
3. Imbalance of Fire element: Manifests itself as fever, skin diseases like inflammation, increased coldness or heat in the body, excessive sweating, hyper-acidity, slow digestion and absorption of nutrients, toxins in the body, diabetes, etc.
4. Imbalance of Air element: leads to skin dryness, blood pressure problems, lung disorders, dry cough, bloating, constipation, lethargy, insomnia, muscular spasms, depression, etc.5. Imbalance of Space element: is visible as Thyroid disorders, throat problems, speech disorders, epilepsy, madness, ear diseases, etc.

Yoga can help us purify these elements, restore balance, and maintain good health. As per Yoga techniques cleansing the 5 elements are known as “Bhuta Shuddhi”. To unfold the inner powers and abilities contained in each element.

Each element has its own characteristics and properties:
5 Elements you need to Master if you want to reach fulfilment.

1. Water💧:- your Emotional state and self worth stop reacting & start responding. flow with the rhythm of reality.

2. Air 💨 :- Your Mental state and higher truth reduce the noise of your negative inner voice. Build empowering beliefs, but hold them loosely.

3. Fire 🔥 :- Your spiritual state and sacred work. do less of what burns you down and more of what lights you up. Show up with curiosity and you will spark consistency.

4. Earth 🌍 :- Your physical state and deeper trust, ground yourself in safety, but let go of the illusion on certainty. Build body that is healthy, and you will welcome a life that is wealthy.

5. Aether 🌌 :- Your conciseness and source creation. Connect all elements and your energy will transform into reality.

Let's learn the secrets that are connected to the earth and lead a healthy life..🙏🏻🙏🏻

HIDDEN GEMS OF MAKAR SANKRANTI

1. Makar Sankranti is perhaps one of the few Hindu festivals that takes its basis on the Solar Cycle. While most of our festival takes its basis on the Lunar Cycle.

2. The second interesting facts about Makar Sankranti is that it always takes place on JAN 14. So, it is the only festival of Hindu that matches with the Gregorian Calendar.

3. The other festivals that clashes with Makar Sankranti are Lohri, Pongal and Bihu will always be celebrated on 13th and 14th JAN every year. The reason being, they’re not based on Hindu Calendar.

4. Approximately 1500 years ago, when Aryabhatta was alive, Makar Sankranti and Uttrayan coincided.

5. Makara Sankranti also marks the end of Malmass and the movement of Sun to Makar Rashi. In the North the festival is called LOHRI, In the East, it is celebrated as BIHU and in the South, it’s called PONGAL.

6. On the day of Makar Sankranti, the SUN Rays start coming from the NORTH.

7. Every 12 years, Makar Sankranti is celebrated with one of the largest Hindus Festival — MAHA KUMBH.

8. This is the fact that will raise your eye-brows, for sure. The reason behind Kite Flying on this day is that during Winter the human body gets infected by lots of diseases.
So, to overcome this, KITE FLYING was started. The people remain in the sun for a whole day and enjoys the KITE FLYING while their body gets receives lots of SUN RAYS and gets cleaned up.

9. Over ages, the date of Makar Sankranti has changed. A 1000 years ago, this festival was celebrated on 31st of December.

10. Last but not least is that Makar Sankranti is also the festival to eat Til (Sesame) and Gud (Jaggery). As there is famous saying in MARATHI that, “Til-gul ghya ani gud gud bola” which means Eat Sesame seed and Jaggery and speak sweet words.

HAPPY SANKRANTI, LOHRI AND PONGAL TO ALL
