Good Morning !😀

Weekend overeating is one of the biggest struggle facing folks looking to lose weight & stay lean.

Being that it’s Saturday, I feel like this'll be useful to a few people 😉.

Do you struggle with weekend overeating?

You do everything right Monday morning through Friday night with tracking 📝, exercising 🏋️‍♀️, & staying consistent 🔄...

But you always end up blowing it Saturday and Sunday? 🍻😧🍕

Many-a-folk don't realize how easily a weekend of mindlessly drinking 🍺 🤤 and overeating 😋 🍣 can negatively affect their weight loss progress.

Let’s say a person who maintains their weight on 2300 calories sets a 500-calorie daily deficit to lose weight. They could be on point the entire week but then completely offset their hard work with just one and a half days of splurging!

Now, I’m NOT saying you can't, shan’t, or shouldn’t have fun on the weekend.

Just remember —> having too much “mindless fun" every single weekend can quickly undo the hard work you're putting in Monday-Friday.

🔸units of energy you body uses to fuel its functions and activities

🔸created from proteins, fats and carbohydrates found in our foods and beverages

🔸necessary for basic body functions like keeping the heart, brain and lungs functioning (also know as basal metabolism

🔸essential to fuel activity – from the smallest hand gesture to a 5-mile run

🔸The number of calories we need each day depends on how much we weigh, how much muscle mass we have and how active we are.

🔸If you consume more calories than your body needs, those extra calories will be stored as fat.

🔸If you consume less calories than your body needs, your previously stored calories (fat) will be used to supply additional energy.

1kg = Approximately 7000 Calories

🔹To Lose Weight

By cutting down 1000 calories per day, you will cut a total of 7000 calories per week – resulting in the loss of 1 kg of body fat. But never consume fewer than 1,200 calories per day.* (Refer to Weight Management section for Program.)

If you want to lose more than 1kg a week, you will need to either reduce your calorie intake further,* or increase the amount of calories you burn with exercise.

🔹To Maintain Weight

Balance calories from food and beverages with calories expended.**

If you are a woman:

You will need about 24 calories for every Kg of body weight (A 50-kg. woman needs about 1,200 calories a day.)

If you are a man:

You will need about 28 calories for every pound of body weight. (A 50-kg man needs about 1,400 calories a day.)
