Today, we achieved a successful RDN procedure at Global Lakdikapul. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone as we became the second team in South India and the fourth in the entire country to perform this procedure at Global Hospitals Hyderabad. The Cather-based Renal Denervation (RDN) therapy presents an innovative approach to treating resistant hypertension.

Globally, the data gathered thus far strongly supports the effectiveness and safety of this procedure in reducing blood pressure in patients with resistant hypertension. Our approach involves utilizing radiofrequency ablation on both renal arteries, specifically targeting the renal sympathetic nerves. This promising technique holds the potential to become a highly effective and crucial treatment option for individuals struggling with uncontrolled hypertension despite being on multiple medications.

Coronary arteries are responsible for supplying oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle. Over time, a buildup of fatty deposits called plaques can accumulate in these arteries, a condition known as atherosclerosis. These plaques can narrow the arteries, reducing blood flow to the heart. During exercise, when the heart requires more oxygen and nutrients, the narrowed arteries may not be able to deliver an adequate blood supply, leading to a heart attack.

Managing depression and prioritizing mental health is crucial for maintaining a healthy heart. Seeking appropriate treatment, which may include therapy, medication, or a combination of both, can help alleviate symptoms of depression and potentially reduce the associated cardiovascular risks. Adopting a heart-healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, stress management techniques, and avoiding harmful habits, can also significantly contribute to improving overall heart health. Remember, taking care of your mental well-being is as important as taking care of your physical health.

A heart attack is caused by a blockage in the coronary arteries, leading to a lack of blood flow and oxygen to the heart muscle. On the other hand, cardiac arrest is an abrupt cessation of the heart's pumping function due to an electrical disturbance. Prompt medical attention is essential in both cases, but cardiac arrest requires immediate intervention to restore the heart's rhythm and circulation.
