Ismail Al-Jazari was a polymath: a scholar, inventor, mechanical engineer, artisan, artist and mathematician from the Artuqid Dynasty of Jazira in Mesopotamia.'The Book of Knowledge of Ingenious Mechanical Devices' is a medieval Arabic book written by Ismail al-Jazari in the 12th century. It describes over fifty mechanical devices and automata, including clocks, water-raising machines, musical automatons, and humanoid robots. Al-Jazari provides detailed instructions for constructing each device and includes anecdotes and historical references. The book had a significant influence on the development of European clockmaking and automata, and it offers insights into daily life and technological innovations in the Islamic world during the medieval period. It's his book that influenced key concepts of modern day robotics

Psoriasis
What is Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a common, genetically determined chronic disease of the skin characterized by presence of sharply demarcated, dull red scaly plaques, particularly on extensor prominence and in the scalp.
Holistically, Psoriasis is caused by abnormal humor, black bile, which is excreted towards the skin and forms crests, which in turn, hinder the nourishment of skin.
How does Psoriasis appear as symptom?
Its humanly very difficult when symptoms flare as they pose as chronic disfiguring inflammatory disease on skin characterized by scaly, red and indurated plaques. Psoriasis usually relapses and remits with variation in severity and clinical manifestations.
The prognosis of Psoriasis is worse because the disease increases with anxiety of patients, which hinders the healing process. Genetic inheritance of Psoriasis is confirmed and recorded.
Prevalence of Psoriasis:
0.8 percent of population suffers with Psoriasis, in India. It develops before the age of 40 years in more than half of the cases. It affects more people during spring and winter.
Classification of Psoriasis:
Flexular Psoriasis - appears in skin folds
Guttate Psoriasis - appears on torso and limbs
Psoriatic Arthritis - painful and physically limiting condition
Scalp Psoriasis - painful, itchy and noticeable in hairline
Pustular forms of Psoriasis as Erythrodermic - appears as burns and Exfoliative Psoriasis - scales on the lesions exfoliate
As it is stubborn disease and has frequent relapses, treatment for Psoriasis is not satisfactory in modern medicine.
