If this doesn’t trigger you, I don’t know what will.

Because nothing says spiritual awakening like a cigarette by the Ganga River 🙃

We were standing at Vashishta Caves… mountains, the mighty Ganga, silence, divinity…

and then enter: one man with his ni****ne enlightenment stick 🚬

Asked him politely to stop.

His response? “Why?”

My response: Because it’s disrespectful. To the river and also to the people around.

His response with zillion kgs of arrogance- I don’t buy that !

I was triggered heavily for a moment but I chose to step back because I wasn’t going to let it ruin the calm, happy state I was in.

He then proceed to take aesthetic pictures with his partner while casually dropping cigarette butts not the pebbled banks by the Ganga.

Baffled by the fact that people don’t care about polluting the very place they came to “experience.

And honestly, I kept thinking—
Where is the accountability?

No authority, no enforcement, no consequence.

I don’t expect to police people…

but how are people like this ever held accountable?

The irony is louder than the river.

Some people come to places like this to evolve
others just come to… exhale smoke.

Patient: “Doctor, I’ve completely stopped rice during breakfast and dinner.”

Doc: Wow ! So what do you eat?

Patient: “Oh, just light food… idli for breakfast, dosa for dinner.”

Ah yes. The magical transformation where rice-once soaked, fermented, and steamed—loses all its carbohydrates and becomes diabetes-friendly air.

Because obviously:

Rice ❌
Rice + water + fermentation + chutney + sedentary lifestyle ✅

Let’s be clear.

Idli, dosa, appam, pongal… they’re not alternatives to rice.

They are simply rice in different outfits attending different meals.

If your pancreas could talk, it wouldn’t care whether the glucose came in the form of:

-Plain rice
-Dosa
-Idli

It’s still saying:

“Why am I working overtime three times a day?”

And then we wonder why sugar levels don’t improve.

Diabetes doesn’t get confused by food names.

It only responds to glucose load + lifestyle.

So no, you didn’t quit rice.

You just gave it a makeover and invited it thrice a day instead of once. 🙂

Yes, idli and dosa are fermented and “gut-friendly”… but they’re still carb-heavy and raise sugar levels.

Most people eat them without enough protein that leads to sugar spike.

Enjoy the soft, rhythmic pulse of the tides at Meeks Bay.

There is a profound sense of inner peace that comes when the blue of the water meets the clarity of the sky.

In Ayurveda, we talk about balancing the elements, and this day was a masterclass in soothing the soul through Jala (water), Prithvi(Earth) and Akasha (space).

The Yuba River in its full glory, snow capped mountains, golden sunsets that stop you in your tracks, and a kind of beauty that doesn’t try too hard—just is ✨

Stepped out of my world for a little bit this march…

Travel has a way of quietly breaking the walls you didn’t even know you built — the routines, the fears, the limits you thought were “you.”

Somewhere between breathtaking airplane views, unfamiliar streets and new faces, I found a version of myself that felt lighter, braver… freer.

It’s strange how leaving home can make you feel more at home within yourself.

I realised that confidence doesn’t come from knowing everything — it comes from handling the unknown.

And in that moment, I wasn’t just traveling… I was expanding.

There is a different kind of spark that shines knowing you finally stepped outside your little bubble and saw how big life really is. 🌍💛

Blessed and grateful for this travel experience amidst crazy chaos 🥹
