🌸 PCOS – More Than Just Ovarian Cysts 🌸

PCOS is often misunderstood as just having cysts in the ovaries. But the truth is, it’s a multi-system condition.

🔬 How can PCOS be suspected?
• Blood tests showing high male hormones
• Clinical signs like acne, oily skin, unwanted hair growth
• Symptoms of insulin resistance such as obesity, hypertension, or diabetes

⚠️ Simply having ovarian cysts does not mean PCOS.
👉 A true diagnosis is made when ovarian changes are accompanied by hormonal or metabolic symptoms.

✨ Awareness helps prevent misdiagnosis and ensures the right treatment for women who truly need it.

🌸 Understanding PCOS – It’s More Than Just Ovarian Cysts 🌸

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a multi-system condition, and not every woman with ovarian cysts has PCOS. The diagnosis is based on a combination of symptoms.

âś… The main features of PCOS include:
• Insulin resistance
• Excess male hormone levels (androgen excess)
• Irregular cycles and in some cases infertility

It’s important to remember that not all women show all the symptoms. Even if two of these are present, it can be PCOS.

✨ Early awareness and proper diagnosis help in managing PCOS effectively and preventing long-term complications.

🌸 PCOS Awareness – Know the Risks, Take Control 🌸

PCOS, or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, is more than ovarian cysts. It brings along hormonal imbalance, increased male hormones, and multi-system effects that can impact fertility, skin, metabolism, and even heart health.

đźšş Women with PCOS may face:
• Irregular ovulation & infertility
• Skin and hair changes due to high androgens
• Long-term risks like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiac disease

đź’ˇ The earlier PCOS is recognized, the better it can be managed.
✔️ Timely consultation with doctors
✔️ Early treatment
✔️ Lifestyle modifications

✨ Spreading awareness today helps women lead a healthier, longer life tomorrow.

🌸 September is PCOS Awareness Month 🌸

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder affecting women in their reproductive age (15–49 years). Globally, about 10–13% of women suffer from PCOS, but in India, the numbers are even higher—almost 1 in 5 women.

PCOS is not just about ovarian cysts. It is a multi-system condition involving hormonal imbalances, irregular cycles, infertility issues, weight gain, skin and hair changes, and long-term risks like diabetes and heart disease.

👉 The biggest challenge? Early diagnosis is often missed. Nearly 70% of women remain undiagnosed or are diagnosed late, when complications have already set in.

This September, let’s come together to:
✔️ Spread awareness about PCOS
✔️ Encourage early screening & diagnosis
✔️ Support women in managing their health

✨ Awareness today means healthier tomorrows. ✨

3-Parent Reproduction: A Medical Breakthrough

Through Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy (MRT), families affected by mitochondrial diseases can have healthier children.

The mother’s nuclear DNA and father’s s***m are combined with healthy mitochondria from a donor egg.

The baby’s traits still come from the parents, while the donor provides only the healthy mitochondria to prevent disease — leading to what’s called a “3-parent baby.”

Did You Know? There’s a “Golden Window” for Embryo Implantation

The uterus isn’t always ready to welcome an embryo. There’s a special phase in each menstrual cycle — called the implantation window — when the endometrium is perfectly prepared for an embryo to attach and grow.

đź’ˇ Typically occurs around Day 19 to 21 in a regular cycle.

But here’s the catch — this window can vary from woman to woman.
That’s why in IVF or repeated implantation failure cases, pinpointing this timing through tests like ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Analysis)can make all the difference.

🔬 When science meets timing, chances of success go up significantly.

Many don’t realize how challenging pregnancy can be until they face it. Having a baby before 30 often means fewer risks, but career and life choices are making people wait longer, sometimes leading to tough challenges. Embryo freezing is a process where embryos created during IVF are safely preserved at very low temperatures in liquid nitrogen for future use. This video explains how the procedure works, why couples choose to freeze embryos, and what benefits it offers—such as giving you more time, improving your chances in later cycles, and supporting family planning. It will also address doubts about safety, success rates, and discuss scenarios when embryo freezing may be the right choice for you.

Egg Retrieval: A Quiet Milestone in the IVF Journey

After days of careful monitoring and hormone support, it’s time for egg retrieval — a gentle procedure where mature eggs are collected from the ovaries.

🔹 Done under short anesthesia
🔹 No incisions, just a thin needle guided by ultrasound
🔹 Usually completed in 15–20 minutes

In the lab, these tiny eggs meet the s***m and the process of creating life begins.

It may feel like just one step… but for many, it’s the most hopeful one yet.

23/08/2025

In this video, we explore how IVF can be a game-changer for couples struggling with low egg count or low s***m count. These conditions can make natural conception difficult, but advancements in reproductive medicine have made it possible to overcome such challenges. Through techniques like ICSI, where a single healthy s***m is injected directly into the egg, and specialized embryo culture methods that nurture early development, IVF offers a tailored approach to maximize the chances of pregnancy. With expert guidance and state-of-the-art lab facilities, couples can find new hope and a clear path toward starting their family despite these hurdles.

21/08/2025

In this video, we discuss how advancements and add-ons in fertility treatments are giving couples more hope than ever before. From improved embryo selection and advanced lab techniques to supportive therapies that enhance success, these innovations are transforming fertility care into a haven for hope. However, with so much information available on Google and AI tools like ChatGPT, couples can often feel confused or get overwhelmed, which is why proper guidance from a fertility expert is essential to make the right choices on the journey to parenthood.
