Hyderabad, June 25, 2025: Apollo Cancer Centres (ACCs) has launched ‘CanWin’, a cancer support group aimed at fostering community and connection during the cancer journey, in honor of National Cancer Survivors Month.

Emphasizing the belief that “shared strength can change lives,” CanWin is an inclusive platform for oncologists, psycho-oncologists, patients, survivors, caregivers, and volunteers to come together in empathy and support.

Dr. P Vijayanand Reddy, Director of Apollo Cancer Centre, Hyderabad, stated, “The battle against cancer encompasses not just advanced treatments but also emotional resilience and human connection. CanWin provides a space for survivors to share and heal, with medical professionals and caregivers standing in solidarity.”

Cancer is curable! Please do not run away from cancer.. face it, fight it…

There are millions of survivors across the globe. There are thousands of survivors in my journery too.
There are several emotional, touching and powerful stories seen and felt through my career. The morale of these endless stories is - the minute they hear the news that they have cancer , immediate thought in their mind is nothing but death !! They start losing the battle before they actually begin to fight.
That is the reason why I thought why not i share some of my own patients stories who fought cancer with great spirit and courage and emerged victorious.
“ I AM A SURVIVOR” has 108 stories of cancer survivors of various cancers. They have shared their journey right from the day they were diagnosed and how they fought through all modalities of treatment of cancer - surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy etc. Finally, how they are leading a normal life after.

Through my career, I’ve come across countless emotional, powerful, and inspiring stories. And one common truth stands out:
The moment someone hears the word "cancer", their first thought is often death.
They begin to lose the battle even before it starts.

That’s exactly why I felt compelled to share the truth—the hope—through real stories.
