**MAHA SHIVRATRI FASTING DIET PLAN**
*Morning on empty stomach:
Warm water with lemon & honey- 300ml
*Breakfast:
Option1: Fruit bowl + Soaked and peeled almonds & walnuts (4 pieces each)
Option2: Fresh curd with mixed fruits- bowl + soaked sabja seeds (2 table spoon) as toppings
Option3: Banana-1 + Handful of boiled groundnuts
*Mid morning:
Butter milk or Fresh orange juice or sugarcane juice or muskmelon milk shake or coconut water or lemonade – 200ml
*Lunch:
Option1: Rajgira ravva upma with mixed veggies- 1 katori with panner-tomato curry
Option2: Sabudana (saggubiyyam) khichidi with mixed veggies- 1 katori with groundnut chutney
*Snack:
Soaked dry Dates-3 or groundnut chikki-1 or boiled sweet potato (small cup) or lassi- 150ml or sabudana vada/cutlet or sabudana payasam- 150ml or cauliflower pakoda with rajgira flour-small cup or sabudana ganji (saggubiyyam java)-200ml
*Dinner:
Option1: Pumpkin soup-150ml + Sabudana curd rice (use only sabudana and curd) – half katori
Option2: Rajgira atta roti or rajgira ravva dosa-2 with panner-mixed vegetable curry
*Night snack: (if you are fasting into the middle of the night)
200ml milk with a pinch of turmeric/pepper powder or handful boiled groundnuts
Suggestions:
*Don’t over eat. If you are not hungry, skip a meal.
*If you are diabetic or suffering from headache or any other health ailment, take the opinion of your health practitioner before fasting.
*Stay calm and peaceful. Don’t get into any arguments with anyone, especially family members.
*Fasting is not recommended for children below 10 years.
