In the passing away of Dr B Pratap Reddy, an era of goodwill has passed away. With utmost sincerity, absolute commitment and impeccable integrity, Dr Pratap Reddy ,set up high standards for himself and others.
Dr Pratap Reddy was humanitarian to the core, serving the poorer community as a physician for almost five decades, with empathy and care.
As a Student leader in Hyderabad Public School and in Gandhi Medical College, he was an institution builder. As a leader in Trade Unions and a person in public life, he left an indelible mark.
Through his People's Hospital in Kukatpally, he served the people with utmost dedication and sympathy, often treating them without any renumeration, for more than 35 years
A founding member of IMA Hyderabad North branch and as the branch President for several years and as Chairman of the Organising committee of several conferences, collective leadership was his hallmark. His stewardship as State President of IMA , revitalized the institution and left an undelible and lasting impact. He was the architect of many IMA Schemes and was main driving force in regularising the Financial system of IMA Telangana State.
He instituted an annual IMA oration in the name of Dr B C Roy ( and not in his personal name), with a magnanimous contribution.
He was the leader of 4th Joint Medical Mission to visit China, organised by ICFA, in 2014.
Even though he has been ailing for last few years, he never missed IMA meetings.
His commitment to serve the masses, has caught the attention of Late NTR who has invited him to active politics.
As a guide, Mentor and Philosopher Dr Pratap Reddy has cherished in all his activities. We the members of IMA Telangana and AP in general and members of IMA Hyd North in particular , miss you a lot Sir.
Dr Pratap Reddy was a strongly committed family man, sincere leader, dear friend with simple living and high thinking.
Adieu dear Dr Pratap Reddy. May your soul rest in eternal peace and pray God gives strength to your family and all those who keep admiring you, to overcome the grief. 🙏🙏🙏

Note: The body of Dr Pratap Reddy, will be kept at his Residence, till tomorrow morning 9 am, when it will be shifted to Gandhi Medical College, of which he is the alumni and is being donated to the college, as per his wish.
