A 7-month pregnant woman came to us with severe abdominal pain. On evaluation and scan, we found a 10 cm ovarian cyst causing ovarian torsion — a condition where the o***y twists and cuts off its own blood supply. It’s extremely painful and needs immediate attention, especially during pregnancy.
In this critical situation, we carefully proceeded with surgery. We untwisted the o***y, removed the cyst, and preserved the tube with oophoropexy.
It was a high-risk case, but with timely intervention and coordinated teamwork, we were able to achieve a safe outcome. Most importantly, her pregnancy was protected and her fertility preserved.
Cases like this remind me how important quick decisions, surgical precision, and a strong team truly are. Grateful for another positive outcome. 💙
