Our story
Kanha Shanti Vanam is a one of a kind place that brings forth a unique blend of a blissfully serene Spiritual Retreat and a well-planned lifestyle supported by modern infrastructure. Set in the lap of nature amidst the lush green fields of Kanha village, Ranga Reddy District (around 25 kilometers from the Rajeev Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad), Kanha has been planned to be an integrated township having a Spiritual Retreat Centre at its heart surrounded by residential colonies (that would comprise of both independent houses as well as apartments). Referred to by the Great Masters as “The high place in Hyderabad, which is charged with vibrations capable of working wonders”, it is a place that has been envisioned to “become the Jewel of Heartfulness ”, indicating that “the future of Heartfulness is there”. All seekers of spirituality from around the world are welcome to come and meditate in the purity and sanctity of the divine atmosphere of Kanha Shanti Vanam. The growing Heartfulness community practicing the Sahaj Marg system of meditation (a simple and effective heart-based practice), is fast becoming a reference point for peace and unity across the world. Kanha is at the heart of that community. The retreat center is designed to facilitate extensive spiritual training & mentoring programs that aim at promoting personal inner experience and providing opportunities to learn and contribute. Currently a considerable amount of building and construction work is being quietly carried out maintaining the peace and tranquility of the Ashram. This includes construction of dormitories & dining for 5000 people, meditation hall, kitchen, toilets and other facilities that could host a spiritual gathering of over 50,000 people for a few days.
All seekers of spirituality from around the world are welcome to come and meditate here, in the purity and sanctity of the atmosphere at Kanha Shanti Vanam.
The construction of this high place of Sahaj Marg has been progressing for a few years: The superb Babuji memorial has been unveiled; the first set of apartment blocks have been handed over; the permanent dormitories will be operational shortly; the construction of the grand meditation hall is now underway. Thousands of trees have been planted and the entire campus is awash with a hue of green. Over the next few years, we will see the transformation of this venue into a veritable garden of Eden, befitting its name.
