"Wanna try dreaming for a living?"
Youth aged 19-20 mostly get a
shift in priority. Promptly a job
becomes an ultimate goal for us.
Mindless chattering are replaced by
sensible(?) career opportunity
discussions and umpteen number of
TAT’s (CAT,MAT,SAT…try A to Z).
Things get interesting for Engineering
students - where we've companies
visiting to our campus and we want
badly to resemble those visiting HR
professionals with shining suits and
boots and an exhibition of rarest
English vocabularies.
I've noticed students change a lot at
this phase of life. Friends become foes,
bestys become competitors. The only
thing that matters is an appointment
letter – preferably from a
multinational. We all want to enact that
“Look Mom! I got the job” scene from
Bollywood.
Truth is - getting a job ain't bad. Your
family/relatives take you more
seriously, you can afford those costly
2K plus dinners, a movie @ the iMax
and visiting malls is not only about
window shopp

There is a Dr. Optimist and Mr.
Pessimist in everybody. Dr O says
maybe she hasn't logged in at all. It’s
only been three days since I sent her
the friend request. Mr P crushes O’s
logic, but what if she has? In that case
she is ignoring you. O argues if she has
to ignore you, why did she talk to you
in the first place? P counter-argues
Maybe it’s just out of sight, out of
mind. Who the hell are you to her?
But the problem is neither P nor O wins
the debate. They sandwich me and I
