Over the years,India developed a strong capability in producing generic medicines in almost all the therapeutic categories.These medicines are being sold mostly as branded medicines with high brand promotion and marketing expenditure which pushes up the retail price of these medicines . Although these medicines are reasonably priced as compared to the price of their equivalent medicines in most other countries;yet their is a large population of poor people in the country which finds in difficult to afford these medicines.Peoples pharmacy aims to provide quality generic medicines at affordable prices to the common man. India is also known as the "PHARMACY OF THE WORLD" but then due to the lack of proper education on generic medicines more then 65% of the Indian population it not able to afford medicines in our country.Where as more then 50% of the medicines purchased by UNICEF are generic medicines from India that are exported to other countries.We are coming up with a chain of retail stores by the name people's pharmacy that provide branded generic drugs with a customer friendly atmosphere at affordable prices.
