After 70 years of getting Independence we might actually be still bound by corruption , pollution, adulteration and living for short term gains.
Out of 120 crores of Indians, only very few people might understand what so called independence actually means.
The independence we got in 1947, was only from British rule after so many sacrifices by Indians in those days .
We see several people carrying Indian national flag every independence day , but very few of these people actually care about fellow Indians.
We might witness them bullying the weak in society, actively participate in corruption , polluting and adulterating the surroundings and our daily consumables ( including food and drinks ) but not bother about it .
When it comes to helping the needy fellow citizens they think about the needy's party , religion, caste and colour and if it will benefit them again monetarily.
Most of our population is actually imprisoned by Feudalism and monetary gain .
When we vote, we tend to be influenced by the information that so and so is the child of so and so or who is giving more for vote .
Unless we get rid of such feudal mentality in our public and unless we get rid of being influenced by short term monetary gains, I personally consider that we are imprisoned by our belief system of living for short term gains .
The day when most Indians feel safe and are able to live a pollution , corruption and adulteration free life with basic civic amenities , and it doesn't matter wherever they are living (any city or village ) but are able to lead a world class quality of life,
then everyday will be an Independence Day.
I wish to see this in my life time and my feeling is that it's possible when most of us desire and work towards a clean , happy , healthy , corruption free , pollution free and adulteration free positive society .
Wish you a very happy Independence Day of desiring such a positive life and motivate ourselves and all those around us to materialise such Independence Days , in our every day life.
