Survey and acquisition of rare medical manuscripts and rare books on Ayush systems of medicine, Modern medicine etc., in different languages. Transcription, transliteration, translation, and publication of medical works based on manuscripts, rare books, and unpublished works related to

Ayush systems and to bring out critical editions in print & electronic form. Collection of medical information from other sources like ancient non-medical literature – Vedas, Puranas etc., Archaeological & Epigraphical sources, accounts of foreign travellers in India. Study of historical development and evolution of concepts of diseases, drugs and other aspects of Ayush Systems. Preparation of biographies of physicians/authors, and commentators of classical medical literature of different periods. Projects for writing History of Medicine Area wise, Period wise, and Theme wise. Collection, editing, and publication of News & Notes and historical materials, including the publication of the Bulletin of the Institute & Monographs. Organization of exhibitions on some specific occasions like seminars, celebrations, etc., to exhibit the development of medicine in India and for dissemination of Indian Medical systems. Referral services and guidance to research scholars. Preparation of bibliographies of journals/articles on the History of Medicine. Collection of oral history i.e., audio recording and the historical background and other details like palm-leaf and paper manuscripts, old books, certificates of grants, awards, etc., from hereditary physicians and traditional medical practitioners in and around Hyderabad city. Development and maintenance of Medico-historical Library. Development and maintenance of Medico-historical Museum. Design and development of IT applications to document and preserve Ayush medical heritage. Maintaining CCRAS-RMIS (Research Management Information System) – a continuous service since March 2014.

BIG NEWS! 🌿📚 CCRAS-National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, and Sri Venkateswara Vedic University (SVVU), Tirupati, have officially signed an MoU on 03-07-2025! This incredible partnership will integrate ancient Vedic wisdom with modern Ayurvedic research and heritage-based methodologies.
Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rani Sadasiva Murthy (VC, SVVU), Prof. (Vaidya) Ravinarayan Acharya, DG, CCRAS, Dr N. Srikath, DDG, CCRAS, Dr. Goli Penchala Prasad (NIIMH), and Dr. Pokala Bhaskarudu (Registrar, SVVU), this alliance will focus on:

आज, 26-6-2025 को हैदराबाद स्थित राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), जो “पारंपरिक चिकित्सा में साहित्यिक और मौलिक अनुसंधान के लिए विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन का एक सहयोग केंद्र” है, उसे राRजराजेश्वरी मेडिकल कॉलेज और अस्पताल, कांबीपुरा, कर्नाटक से आए संहिता एवं सिद्धांत विभाग के प्रमुख प्रो. डॉ. रविंद्र कोरेदे, डॉ. श्रीनिवास और स्नातकोत्तर प्रथम वर्ष के विद्यार्थीयों ने भेंट कि । NIIMH के सहायक निदेशक प्रभारी, डॉ. जी.पी. प्रसाद जी ने उनका स्वागत किया और एक महत्वपूर्ण बैठक का आयोजन किया। इस बैठक का मुख्य उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों को साहित्यिक अनुसंधान के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों के बारे में जानकारी देना और संस्थान द्वारा चलाए जा रहे प्रोजेक्ट्स, गतिविधियों और उपलब्धियों से अवगत कराना था। इस अवसर पर, NIIMH की ओर से प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक डॉ. जी.पी. प्रसाद जी के साथ डॉ. साकेत राम, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (आयु.) और डॉ. संतोष माने, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (आयु.) भी उपस्थित थे। प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने संस्थान के प्रभावशाली पुस्तकालय और संग्रहालय का भी दौरा किया, जहाँ श्री मुरली मनोहर, ए.आर.ओ. राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति के मार्गदर्शन और परिषद मुख्यालय के निर्देशानुसार, राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान, हैदराबाद में दिनांक 23 जून 2025 को त्रैमासिक हिंदी कार्यशाला का सफल आयोजन संस्थान के सम्मेलन कक्ष में डॉ. गोलि पेंचल प्रसाद, प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक, के नेतृत्व में संपन्न हुआ। कार्यशाला की संरचना और क्रियान्वयन में डॉ. अशफाक अहमद, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (यूनानी) एवं हिंदी प्रभारी, की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रही।
प्रथम सत्र:
प्रथम सत्र का शुभारंभ डॉ. गोलि पेंचल प्रसाद द्वारा वक्ताओं तथा प्रतिभागियों के स्वागत भाषण से हुआ। इस अवसर पर डॉ. अशफाक अहमद ने "हिंदी में मौलिक पुस्तक लेखन हेतु राजभाषा गौरव पुरस्कार योजना" विषय पर विस्तृत और प्रेरणादायक व्याख्यान प्रस्तुत किया। उन्होंने अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को हिंदी में मौलिक लेखन हेतु प्रोत्साहित करते हुए पुस्तक लेखन की प्रक्रिया, मानदंडों एवं राजभाषा विभाग की प्रोत्साहन योजनाओं की जानकारी साझा की।
द्वितीय सत्र:
द्वितीय सत्र में डॉ. संतोष माने, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (आयुर्वेद), ने "प्रेस विज्ञप्ति अथवा समाचार विज्ञप्ति तैयार करने की विधि" विषय पर गहन प्रस्तुति दी। उन्होंने हिंदी में प्रभावी पत्रकारिता लेखन, तकनीकी रिपोर्ट लेखन तथा दैनिक कार्य में हिंदी के सहज प्रयोग पर सारगर्भित सुझाव प्रदान किए।
समापन:
कार्यशाला में संस्थान के सभी अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया। प्रतिभागियों ने दोनों सत्रों के व्याख्यानों को गंभीरतापूर्वक सुना और वक्ताओं से विषयवस्तु से संबंधित ज्ञानवर्धक जानकारी प्राप्त की। कार्यक्रम के अंत में हिंदी सहायिका द्वारा प्रतिभागियों के प्रति आभार प्रकट किया गया। प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक की अनुमति से राष्ट्रगान के साथ कार्यशाला का समापन हुआ।
यह कार्यशाला राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार, संस्थान स्तर पर हिंदी के सृजनात्मक उपयोग तथा सरकारी कार्य में उसकी प्रभावशीलता को बढ़ाने की दिशा में एक सराहनीय पहल सिद्ध हुई।

राष्ट्रीय भारतीय चिकित्सा संपदा संस्थान (NIIMH), हैदराबाद जो आयुष मंत्रालय के केंद्रीय आयुर्वेदिक विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद (CCRAS) के अधीनस्थ कार्यरत है । संस्थान द्वारा आज 21 जून, 2025 को विश्व स्तर पर एकीकृत थीम 'एक पृथ्वी, एक स्वास्थ्य के लिए योग' अंतर्गत मनाए जा रहे 11वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस (IDY) 2025 का आयोजन संस्थान परिसर में किया गया था। इस आयोजन को संस्थान के प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक डॉ. जी. पी. प्रसाद के मार्गदर्शन में सफलता पूर्वक सम्पन्न किया गया ।
11वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस (IDY) 2025 के उपलक्ष में आयुष मंत्रालय के केंद्रीय आयुर्वेदिक विज्ञान अनुसंधान परिषद द्वारा दिए गए दिशा निर्देशों का अनुपालन करते हुए संस्थान के सभी अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारी सुबह 6 बजे उपस्थित होकर कार्यक्रम स्थल पर स्वच्छता अभियान चलाकर साफ-सफाई कि गयी। उसके बाद योग सत्र के सुचारु संचालन कि व्यवस्था कि गयी। सर्व प्रथम सभी ने देश के माननीय प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी का लाइव भाषण को सुना । जिसके पश्चात योग प्रोटोकॉल के अनुसार योगाचार्य विजय राज जी के संचलन एवं प्रदर्शन के साथ साथ योगाभ्यास किया गया । इस योगाभ्यास में संस्थान के अधिकारी एवं कर्मचारीयों के साथ साथ संस्थान समीप के रेविन्यू बोर्ड कॉलोनी के पदाधिकारी और जनसामान्य उपस्थित रहें । कुल मिलकर सौ से अधिक व्यक्तियों ने योगाभ्यास किया । कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न होने के बाद पुन: एकबार परिसर को साफ सुधार बनाया गया ।
इसके बाद संस्थान के सभागार कक्ष में उपस्थित होकर प्रो. गज्जाला रामेश्वर, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा पुस्तकालय और अनुसंधान केंद्र, हेनमाकोंडा, तेलंगाना द्वारा ‘तेलगु योग पुस्तिक दर्शिनी के प्रथम मसौदे के अनावरण समारोह में सहभाग लिया । साथ ही उन्हें ने दैनंदिन जीवन में प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा और योग के बारे में व्याख्यान प्रस्तुत किया । उन्हें ने भेट स्वरूप संस्थान के ग्रंथालय के लिए कुछ महत्वपूर्ण किताबें प्रदान कि।
इस कार्यक्रम में डॉ. वी. सुभोस, सहायक निदेशक (आयु.), डॉ. वी. श्रीदेवी (अनुसंधान अधिकारी, आयु.), डॉ. अशफाक अहमद, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (यूनानी), डॉ. साकेत राम, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (आयु.), डॉ. संतोष माने, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (आयु.), डॉ. बिश्वो रंजन दास, अनुसंधान अधिकारी (होमियो.) श्रीनिवास राव (पुस्तकालय सूचना सहायक), डॉ. सत्याब्रत नंद, अनुसंधान सहायक, (संस्कृत) सहित अन्य अधिकारी, वरिष्ठ अनुसंधानकर्ता और कर्मचारी उपस्थित रहें।
अंत में डॉ. जी.पी. प्रसाद, प्रभारी सहायक निदेशक जी ने प्रो. गज्जाला रामेश्वर एवं योगाचार्य को सम्मानित करते हुए उनके द्वारा प्रदान किए गए सेवाओं के प्रति आभार व्यक्त किया । राष्ट्रगान के साथ कार्यक्रम समाप्त हो गया ।

The National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH), Hyderabad, an autonomous body under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) of the Ministry of AYUSH, today observed the 11th International Yoga Day (IDY) 2025 at its campus. The event was celebrated globally with the integrated theme 'One Earth, One Health for Yoga'. It was successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. G. P. Prasad, Assistant Director In-charge.
In compliance with the guidelines issued by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH, for the 11th International Yoga Day (IDY) 2025, all officers and staff of the institute gathered at 6:00 AM. They began the day with a cleanliness drive at the event venue. Following this, arrangements were made for the smooth conduct of the yoga session. First, everyone listened to the live address of the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. Afterwards, yoga was practiced according to the Yoga Protocol, with Yogacharya Vijay Raj ji leading and demonstrating the Asanas. Officers and staff of the institute, along with officials and the general public from the nearby Revenue Board Colony, participated in this yoga session. In total, over a hundred individuals performed yoga. After the conclusion of the program, the campus was cleaned once again.
Following the yoga session, attendees gathered in the institute's auditorium for the unveiling ceremony of the first draft of the 'Telugu Yoga Book Darshini' by Prof. Gajjala Rameshwar from the International Naturopathy Library and Research Centre, Hanamkonda, Telangana. Prof. Rameshwar also delivered a lecture on Naturopathy and yoga in daily life. As a gesture of goodwill, he donated several important books to the institute's library.
The event saw the presence of various dignitaries, including Dr. V. Subhos, Assistant Director (Ayurveda), Dr. V. Sridevi (Research Officer, Ayurveda), Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed, Research Officer (Unani), Dr. Saket Ram, Research Officer (Ayurveda), Dr. Santosh Mane, Research Officer (Ayurveda), Dr. Biswo Ranjan Das, Research Officer (Homoeo.), Srinivas Rao (Library Information Assistant), Dr. Satyabrata Nanda, Research Assistant (Sanskrit), along with other officers, senior researchers, and staff.
The program concluded with Dr. G.P. Prasad, Assistant Director In-charge, honouring Prof. Gajjala Rameshwar and Yogacharya Vijay Raj, expressing gratitude for their valuable contributions. The event concluded with the national anthem.
