The SCRMP Student Leadership Premiere gathered three distinguished panelists to inspire future healthcare leaders:
1. Deanna Laughlin, MBA โ Spoke on the role of pharmacy students in combating infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance, highlighting local engagement, global advocacy, and data-driven policy impact. She shared her World Health Assembly experience and emphasized resilience in leadership.
2. Josephine Daisie โ Introduced as a key panelist, representing African pharmacy leadership. Although unable to join live, her selection underscored the importance of diverse regional voices in global health discussions.
3. Marissa El Hajje, RPh, PhD Candidate/ UN Youth delegate โ Stressed the need for research-backed policies, using medicinal cannabis as an example. She highlighted youth innovation, collaboration, and evidence-based advocacy as essential for building sustainable health systems.
