Day 1 of the 2nd Annual Conference on Excellence in Fetal Medicine (EiFM 2026) at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, was an engaging and academically enriching experience.
The day centered on “A Deep Dive into the Fetal Abdomen”, with comprehensive sessions on gastrointestinal and genitourinary anomalies—covering everything from early detection to structured counselling. The case-based approach, supported by high-quality imaging and real-life clinical scenarios, made the discussions highly practical and relevant for everyday reporting.
A significant highlight of the day was the special oration by Dr. Sharon, Palliative Care Physician from Malaysia, delivered in honor of Dr. Manikanadan, on “Resilience and Self-Care in the Workplace.”
The session brought a powerful perspective to clinical practice—emphasizing that while we strive for precision and excellence in patient care, maintaining our own mental and emotional well-being is equally critical. It reinforced the need for resilience, mindful practice, and sustainable work habits in demanding medical environments.
