*Sports background- ZERO

*Was forced to participate in a school 100 metres qualifier and ran back to the start line after running half the race, because of being body conscious that the whole school is watching me make a fool of myself! ( Made a bigger fool of myself, instead 😅)

*Activity levels- NEVER participated in any sports after this event. Liked solitary time and cycled for kilometres to sit by the lake. Loved the outdoors, hiked in the mountains

*It isn’t about the WASHBOARD ABS that you get as part of the process- it is the change in your THINKING that becomes your strength…

*I don’t need to search how different BODY FAT% looks like on a woman. I now know the WHOLE RANGE 😄

*If I CAN- ANYONE CAN!

*Thank you .in for helping me keep stay accountable to myself!

I can't begin to tell you how many times I get sent form clips from clients, or I walk around the gym floor and see people who mentally haven't checked in before performing a set.

In all honesty it drives me crazy. Especially when I see my own clients doing it.

These people would be better off sitting at home on their hole watching the soaps, cause mentally that's where they are. They're not here to work.
When I get into that machine, put in my headphones and get ready to lift some weight. Nothing else matters.

Don't try to talk to me.

It's just me, my music and the weights. I won't be checking out of the set mentally until my muscles are physically exhausted and cannot move anymore load.

Then and only then l'lI come back to reality.

Find a place which brings you here. Happy or sad. It doesn't matter.

We .co support and observe World Mental Health Day on 10th October. This day is observed to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilise efforts in support of it.

Here are a few positive mental habits to help you with you with a daily checklist that can benefit you:

* Values- Engage in activities that provide you with a sense of values that are important to you

* Achievement- Engage in activities that provide you a sense of pleasure and achievement

* Physical activity- Whenever possible, try and stay active. Exercise is a great tool for boosting mood and reducing stress and anxiety

* Staying present- Use some mindfulness exercises to try and connect you to the present moment

* Coping skills- Be proactive with you mental health. Learn, practice and learn some new skills that can help you cope with pressure or stress

* Talk- Talk openly to close friends or family members about how you are feeling and what you may be thinking

* Self care- Find activities that you can schedule during the week that provide you with a sense of self care

* Relaxation- Schedule time to switch off and relax your mind and body

Happy Dussehra! ✨

From our .co Recipe Vault is this slightly healthier alternative of this Oats Kheer that will help you do the “muh meetha” with a little less guilt 😉

Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups whole milk/ almond milk
- 3 tsp sugar ( adjusted and added to taste)
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 pinch saffron

Garnish option:
- Pistachios (sliced)
- Almonds ( roasted and sliced)
- Cashew ( sliced)
- Raisins
- Saffron

Method:
- Heat a heavy bottom pan in medium heat and add the ghee and let it melt
- Add the riled oats and sauté them well till you get the aroma of the roasted oats
- Add water and the whole milk into the pan and stir well
- Simmer in low flame till the oats becomes soft and mushy. Keep stirring at regular intervals
- Once the oats have reached the desired consistency, add the cardamom and roared nuts along with the pinch of saffron
- Simmer for 2 more minutes and switch off the stove top
- Enjoy Oats Kheer , warm or cooled down, as per your preference 😃
Note: The kheer thickens as it cools down so do add a little more milk and stir to adjust the consistency before serving
