This International Women’s Day, I pause to acknowledge two remarkable women whose influence has shaped my professional journey in profound ways.

My first inspiration was Dr. Prabha Devi, my Obstetrics & Gynaecology teacher during MBBS in Vijayawada. She was an exceptional educator whose discipline, dedication, and belief in her students left a lasting mark on me. Through her teaching, she demonstrated that true excellence in medicine comes from commitment, compassion, and unwavering integrity.

The second is the visionary leader behind Fernandez Hospital. Her relentless advocacy for respectful maternity care and her efforts to promote normal deliveries have set an important benchmark in healthcare. What stands out most is the grace and humility with which she leads.

Both these extraordinary women remind me that leadership is not defined by titles, but by the values we uphold and the lives we touch.
