The family composition in India is changing. Many young people are migrating and elderly people in their families are able to go along and hence they stay back to age in place. The children who migrate possess responsibility to care for their parents and look for institutions that can substitute their care. The centre since its inception in 1994 has been providing care to several thousands of elderly persons with long term care needs. Our focus been to minimise the feeling of patients of absence of their families.. as most often such care seekers are without family members living with them

Heritage Medical centre is getting ready to a year long celebration to commemorate our soon to commence Silver Jubilee year. We have several thousands of family members and elderly population having availed services who are invited and expected participate in these events. Some of these events could involve promoting intergenerational solidarity, health screening for those who need them most, public education lecture/seminars to sensitise the communities s we did very recently collaborating with Tata Trusts, Hyderabad Police Commissioner, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and HelpAge India which have always been collaborating with us. We would also focus on falls prevention programmes and Empowerment of Family and Institution Caregivers
