Successfully conducted a two-day training workshop for postgraduates and residents from Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).
The workshop covered key areas including Dietary Guidelines for Indians, Nutrition Surveys, Nutritional Outbreak Investigation, Diet in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), and related topics. Participants also gained valuable field exposure through a visit to the HNDSS area, providing hands-on experience in community-based nutrition assessment.

The of Scientific and Innovative Research AcSIR Science Club at ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition recently organized its first student-led science engagement event commemorating the .
PhD scholars and MSc students presented science-themed skits and short performances, creatively communicating scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible manner. The event marked the beginning of a new initiative by AcSIR and ICMR leadership to encourage student participation, science communication, and collaborative learning.
The AcSIR Science Club plans to organize regular monthly activities to foster scientific curiosity, creativity, and community engagement among young researchers.

Our institute along with the Model Rural Health Research Unit (MRHRU)- Mahabubnagar is conducting a 3-day CME Workshop on Nutritional Assessment Methods for Medical Postgraduates from 24-26 Feb. 2026 at SVS Medical College, Mahabubnagar.
The workshop includes Expert lectures, Hands-on training in dietary and anthropometric assessment and Field visits for real-time community-based assessments and Expert Sessions on ethics, data computation, and research grant writing
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate medical students and faculty, fostering capacity building in applied nutrition research and public health
