ICMR-NIN Foundation Day Celebrations on 26th Sept 2025
Director Dr. Bharati Kulkarni highlighted NIN’s scientific contributions, while DG-Indian Council of Medical Research Dr. Rajiv Bahl (virtual) emphasized its role in shaping national nutrition policies.
Chief Guest Dr. Ch. Mohan Rao underscored innovation, AI, and climate challenge and nutrition, and Guest of Honour Dr. Anurag Bhargava delivered the Foundation Day oration which highlighted nutrition’s role in TB prevention and global health.

Extension & Training Division is organizing a 4-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop for piloting the Education for Effective Nutrition in Action (ENACT) course - a project funded by the Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The course is being implemented in four esteemed universities across India:
Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore
Lady Irwin College, Delhi University
Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru
Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda

The workshop was inaugurated yesterday by Dr. Bharati Kulkarni, Director, ICMR-NIN, who also released the ENACT course material.
Dr. Konda Chavva, Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) India Representative, participated in the hybrid session.

Dr. M. Maheshwar, Scientist F & Head, ET Division, and Principal Investigator of the ENACT project, welcomed the participants

Along with the ongoing , SWASTH NARI SASHAKT PARIVAR ABHIYAAN was slso launched yesterday
The inauguration began with the Swachhta Pledge and the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Pledge in the presence of DG-ICMR (virtually)
The campaign (17th Sept – 2nd Oct 2025) will include women’s health screenings, outreach programmes on nutrition & menstrual hygiene, and blood donation camps.
On Day 1, a screening camp for hypertension & diabetes was held at the Welfare Clinic, NIN. About 87 individuals (47 women, 40 men) were assessed for height, weight, waist circumference, blood sugar, and blood pressure, along with case history documentation.

राष्ट्रीय पोषण संस्थान, हैदराबाद में हिंदी सप्ताह समारोह का शुभारंभ 15 सितम्बर 2025 को हुआ। समारोह की शुरुआत एक सुंदर शास्त्रीय नृत्य प्रस्तुति से हुई।
इस अवसर पर निदेशक डॉ. भारती कुलकर्णी मुख्य अतिथि रहीं। कार्यक्रम में वैज्ञानिकों, कर्मचारियों और छात्रों ने सक्रिय भागीदारी की।
हिंदी समिति के सदस्यों ने राजभाषा के महत्व पर अपने विचार रखे। आयोजन का समापन राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ।
🎉 हिंदी सप्ताह 15 से 22 सितम्बर 2025 तक मनाया जाएगा।
