JAW WORKOUTS!!!
Celebrating Maxillofacial Surgeons Day!
Just not Cardio, you need think about Jaw workouts ! Work out for the jaw? Yes as the food we eat is processed, cooked so well, often under high pressure, milled, juiced, mashed, mushed & boiled, we don't put pressure on the jaw to chew food anymore!!!
More over the current diet is so enriched with calories we don't have to use our jaws so much as our ancestors did !
The result of lacking adequate pressure in the jaw making it smaller n smaller in generation!
Smaller jaws not just enough to accommodate the teeth , leading to crowded teeth , unerupted teeth which are stuck deeply in the bone.
Crowded teeth ( same no of teeth but in a small jaw ) causing gum n decay problems .
Wisdom teeth are getting badly stuck in the jaw and most current generation needing their removal !!!
Smaller jaws can affect patients airway dimension there by contributing breathing problems like sleep Apnoea !
A definitive Jaw line gives beauty to a face as u see in pics of the famous Hollywood .
Coming to wisdom teeth, they becoming more n more difficult placed so deep in jaw n close to the nerve that carries the lip sensation. An operation to remove such a deeply placed wisdom teeth are always associated with significant risks to the lip sensation -
I can foresee this going to be a serious problem in the generations to come, don't get surprised you will have workouts for the jaws too !!!
