Indian girls don’t just grow up with body image issues…

We grow up with contradictory aunties 😭☕

One aunty: “Beta you’ve gained weight…”
Other aunty, 7 minutes later: “Arre eat more, you look so thin!”

Meanwhile us: buffering… 🫠

For so many Indian women, body comments start early and become background noise.
Too thin. Too healthy. Too fat. Too dark. Too pale. Too something.

No wonder so many women struggle to hear their own body over everyone else’s opinions.

“1200 calories for a grown woman” and people are saying it with a straight face?! 😭

Ma’am… that’s a toddler menu with ambition.

Women are out here trying to build muscle, regulate hormones, manage stress, heal PCOS, survive work, run homes, exist… and getting told to eat like they’re in kindergarten.

Crash diets may give fast results.
They also hand out bonus gifts like: ✨ hunger
✨ mood swings
✨ obsession with food
✨ fatigue
✨ rebound weight gain

Your body is not a punishment project.

Eat enough.
Support your hormones.
Lose weight without shrinking your life.

Tag someone still being told “eat 1200 calories” 👀🍽️

“Just eat less and exercise more.”

Indian women have heard this so many times it should honestly come free with Aadhaar at this point 😭
Meanwhile nobody asks: • Are you sleeping properly?
• Are your stress hormones through the roof?
• Do you have PCOS?
• Are you emotionally exhausted?
• Is your nervous system running on chai and survival mode?
Women’s bodies are not calculators.
Especially not stressed, hormonally overloaded, burnt-out bodies.
And this is exactly why so many women feel like: “I’m doing everything right… so why isn’t my body changing?”
Because health is deeper than calories.
And healing isn’t punishment.

Indian PCOS girls are about to relate HARD to this one 🫠

POV: You spent the whole day telling people to manage stress… and now you’re emotionally attached to a packet of cookies at 11 PM ☕😭
One stressful day won’t destroy your hormones.
One late-night snack won’t ruin your metabolism.
And a few biscuits won’t end your bloodline.
The real problem?
Women feeling guilty for being human.
Your body responds to patterns, not one random Tuesday night with Parle-G and existential thoughts 🌚🍪
Save this for your next “I ruined everything” moment.
What’s YOUR “just one more bite” snack? 👀

“Sure, try harder.”

Kam khao.
Jyaada workout karo.
Ignore how exhausted you feel.
Pretend your body isn’t screaming for rest.

Because obviously…
a stressed body needs more stress, right? 🙂

This is exactly where so many women get stuck.

They think: 👉 “I just need more discipline.”
👉 “I need to push harder.”
👉 “I’m not trying enough.”

Meanwhile their body is: • exhausted
• overwhelmed
• running on survival mode

And instead of responding…
it starts holding on tighter.

Tighter to fatigue.
Tighter to cravings.
Tighter to weight.

Not because your body is against you.

Because it’s trying to protect you.

A body under pressure doesn’t need punishment.
It needs support.

“You can’t force a body that feels unsafe to change.”

But that’s what most people try to do.

Push harder.
Control more.
Ignore the exhaustion.
Silence the overwhelm.

And when the body doesn’t respond…
they blame themselves.

What we don’t talk about enough is this:

More often than not, the issue isn’t laziness.
It isn’t lack of discipline.

It’s a nervous system that’s been under pressure for too long.

Because a body that constantly feels stressed, anxious, emotionally overloaded or unsafe…
doesn’t focus on transformation.

It focuses on survival.

And that changes everything:
• your energy
• your hormones
• your cravings
• your ability to let go

Healing isn’t always about doing more.

Sometimes it starts with finally feeling safe enough to stop fighting yourself.

“You were not born hating your body. You were taught that.”
No one is born picking themselves apart.
It was learned.
From comments.
From comparisons.
From things said casually… that stayed longer than they should have.
And over time, it stopped sounding like “them”
and started sounding like you.
But here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:
If it was learned…
it can be unlearned.
Not in one day.
Not perfectly.
But slowly.
In the way you speak to yourself.
In the way you treat your body.
In the way you stop believing every negative thought.
You don’t have to carry that voice forever.

“I was body shamed from age 15.”
And slowly… I started believing it.
Every comment.
Every joke.
Every comparison.
It stopped sounding like “them”
and started sounding like me.
So I tried to fix it.
Control it.
Change it.
Punish it.
But nothing really changed…
Until I changed how I treated myself.
Not overnight.
Not perfectly.
But gently.
Because healing doesn’t start on the outside.
It starts in the way you speak to yourself.
The way you show up for your body.
The way you stop fighting it.
If you’ve ever carried someone else’s words as your own…
you’re not alone.

“GM Diet. Detox teas. Juice cleanses.”

They promise:
👉 fast results
👉 quick fixes
👉 “reset your body”

But here’s what they actually do:

They make your body more stressed.
More reactive.
More likely to hold on… not let go.

Yes, you might see the scale drop.

But what you’re losing isn’t the real issue.

And the moment you stop…
everything comes back.

Not because you failed.
Because the approach never worked.

Quick fixes don’t fix the cause.
They just create a cycle.

If you’re tired of starting over…

👉 Comment REAL and I’ll show you what actually works.

“Hamare desh mein 90% log gyaan dene mein expert hain.”
Especially when it comes to women’s bodies.
PCOS?
Oh, everyone suddenly has advice:
👉 “Just lose weight”
👉 “Stop eating this, start eating that”
👉 “It’s all in your control”
👉 “Bas discipline lao, ho jayega”
And somehow…
you end up more confused than before.
Because most of this “gyaan”: ❌ oversimplifies
❌ ignores hormones
❌ ignores stress
❌ and blames YOU
So let’s talk about it.
👉 Women with PCOS — what’s the WORST advice you’ve received?
I’m reading everything.
💬 Drop it below. Let’s call it out.

“Your body isn’t burning. It’s bracing.”
And when it’s bracing…
it’s not trying to change.
it’s trying to protect you.
When your system stays on high alert —
from stress, pressure, constant pushing —
your body shifts into survival mode.
And in that state: • it holds on to energy
• slows things down
• resists letting go
So the problem isn’t that you’re not doing enough.
It’s that your body doesn’t feel safe enough to respond.
Which is why: more restriction
more workouts
more pressure
isn’t creating results.
It’s reinforcing the loop.
You’re not stuck because you’re not trying hard enough.
You’re stuck because your body won’t let go yet.
If this feels familiar…
👉 Comment RESET and I’ll share what actually helps your body shift out of this.
