Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Camp - Patsoi Community base, Imphal West, Manipur (28th June 2025)

A Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Camp was conducted by Karkinos Healthcare Manipur in Patsoi, Imphal West, on 28th June 2025. The initiative brought together residents and healthcare workers for a day focused on preventive care and community awareness. Expert-led sessions covering oral, breast, and cervical cancer awareness were conducted alongside routine health check-ups, non-communicable disease screening and HPV screening.
The participation reflected a growing awareness around preventive healthcare and the importance of accessible screening. Through consistent community-led efforts, Karkinos continues to bridge the gap between individuals and timely cancer care.

Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Camp – Awang Wabagai Centre, Imphal East (25th June 2025)

Karkinos Healthcare Manipur conducted a Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Camp at the Awang Wabagai Primary Health Sub-Centre, Imphal East, on 25th June 2025.

The initiative aimed to bring screening and awareness closer to the community. A total of 51 individuals were screened. Among them, 17 received the HPV vaccine, 10 underwent VIA testing and 2 were screened for HPV. One known case of skin cancer was identified and referred to Karkinos Hospital for further evaluation and care.

Health and Cancer Awareness Camps in Manipur
Together with local partners and community leaders, Karkinos Healthcare Manipur conducted a series of community-centric cancer awareness and screening camps over March and April 2024. The major activities included health screenings, vaccinations, and cancer awareness programmes, aiming to empower communities with knowledge and access to preventive healthcare measures. These one-day awareness and health check-up programmes were held across various locations, organized in collaboration with local health centres, government authorities, and support from community halls and local volunteers. Our efforts continue to spearhead health and cancer awareness initiatives in Manipur, for every individual to have access to quality cancer care and knowledge to prioritize their well-being.
