Imphal,16th September 2025:In a landmark development for regional oncology, clinical approval has been granted for operations of Elekta Harmony Pro Linear Accelerator at the Radiation Oncology Department of Karkinos Healthcare Northeast Private Limited (KHNEPL), Imphal.
This pivotal installation establishes two significant firsts for the region's healthcare landscape:
1) It is the first dual-energy linear accelerator in the state of Manipur.
2) Now Karkinos Healthcare Manipur has two linear accelerators with advanced features, and to accommodate substantial volume of patients.

Imphal,15th September 2025: Karkinos Healthcare Manipur in association with Cancer Survivors of Manipur (CaSoM) along with Keinou Youth Club, Lam Ahingba VLF and Keinou Apunba Meira Paibi Lup conducted a one day free early detection and cancer awareness camp at Keinou community hall, Bishnupur District. More than 100 citizens were attended in the camp. Doctors and staffs of Ayushman Arogya Mandir, PHC Oinam and CHC Nambol were also participated. The camp also stressed on the importance of early detection of cancer and rising incidence of cancer among the women folks. Secretary of CaSoM also announced to get subsidized cancer drugs from their organization.

Imphal 4th September 2025: A 7 hour long complex surgery of wide local excision with segmental mandibulectomy and contralateral radical neck dissection alongwith bilobed PMMC reconstruction was performed successfully for a patient suffering from recurrent Carcinoma of the right Buccal Mucosa with left neck metastasis at Karkinos Healthcare Manipur,JNIMS campus,Porompat,Imphal East.The surgery was headed by Dr Moni Abraham Kuriakose, globally accomplished Head and Neck Cancer Surgeon, Medical Director of Karkinos Healthcare and CEO of Karkinos Healthcare Kerala.The surgery was assisted by Dr.RK.Gautamjit,Consultant Head and Neck Onco Surgeon,Karkinos Healthcare,Manipur.
The patient was recovered and discharged successfully. The efficient handling of such complex and high risk cases highlights the skill and dedication of Karkinos Healthcare Manipur's surgical and anaesthesia team.Their unwavering commitment ensures the delivery of advanced and life saving treatment.

Imphal, 30th August 2025: Karkinos Healthcare Manipur organized a one day cancer awareness & early detection camp along with HPV vaccination drive in partnership with Manipur Government Health Department at PHSC(Health & Wellness Centre) Malom, Imphal West District. The camp was led by Dr. GS Moirangthem Director & CEO, Karkinos Healthcare Manipur alongwith with Dr.Paul Sebastian, Consultant-Clinical Operations and Governance(Early Detection), Dr. Rahul, Cluster Manager(Early Detection) and Mr. Imo Wahengbam, Lead Early detection and Screening, Karkinos Healthcare Manipur. Dr.K.Rajo, HOD-Anesthesiology, Karkinos Healthcare Manipur was also present in the camp.A total no of 117 citizens were participated out of which 46 children were given HPV vaccination. Clinical Breast Examination was also done to all female citizens. Oral visual examination was also done for all the citizens participated in the camp.

89 female citizens checked for Clinical Breast Examination
76 citizens checked for Oral Visual Examination
2 cancer patients were identified

Such camp will help the citizens to prevent cancer, raising awareness about risk factors and offering preventive services like vaccinations or screenings for diseases such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer etc.

Karkinos Healthcare Manipur organised a Scientific program on “Whats needed to realize oncology precision medicine globally” at Imperial Hall Classic Grande, Chingmeirong.(Prof) Dr. Keith Flaherty,Director of Clinical Research at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Care, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and President-elect(2025-2026) of the American Association for Cancer Research, Senior Clinical Advisor to Karkinos share his ideas on guiding our translational research and the integration of cutting edge cancer treatment in India. Dr.R. Venkataramanan, Founder-CEO of Karkinos Healthcare Pvt.Ltd and Dr. Moni Kuriakose, Medical Director, Karkinos Healthcare Pvt.Ltd were also present in the scientific program.(Prof) Dr. GS Moirangthem Director & CEO and (Prof) Dr. Y. Indibor Medical Superintendent of Karkinos Healthcare Manipur were the chairpersons of the scientific session.

Cancer Awareness & Early Detection Camp - Patsoi Community base, Imphal West, Manipur (28th June 2025)

A Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Camp was conducted by Karkinos Healthcare Manipur in Patsoi, Imphal West, on 28th June 2025. The initiative brought together residents and healthcare workers for a day focused on preventive care and community awareness. Expert-led sessions covering oral, breast, and cervical cancer awareness were conducted alongside routine health check-ups, non-communicable disease screening and HPV screening.
The participation reflected a growing awareness around preventive healthcare and the importance of accessible screening. Through consistent community-led efforts, Karkinos continues to bridge the gap between individuals and timely cancer care.
