The demand for allied healthcare workers is on the rise in India and there is also huge demand abroad. With a vision to fulfill the demands of the ever evolving health industries and the need for a larger and more skilled workforce, Escent Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Skill Development (EIPS&SD), a unit of Escent Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., was started in the year 2016.
The state of Manipur is experiencing a high demand for skilled healthcare professionals. This is mainly due to increased levels of literacy, health-consciousness and economic development. Some of the despairing facts may be increase cases of chronic and communicable diseases, presence of deadly strains, and other effects of environmental and developmental changes. There is also an increase in per-capita spending on health care. To cope with the demands and to cater to the need of the patients, the institute aims at training and developing highly qualified and right minded professional health care workers and technicians in the health sector.
The institute aims at developing ethically sound and virtuous professionals who would contribute to providing the much needed care, support and guidance to suffering patients and their families. The successful candidates from the institute will also get the opportunity of job placement.
It is also a social responsibility of the institute to cure the problem of unemployment in the state. Hence, promoting human resource development. The laboratory is equipped with its own machinery like CT scan, X-Ray, ECG, USG, etc. and laboratory procedures in a variety of areas including Haematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology and Immunohematology etc. and Physiotherapy equipments. The students are train with hands on experience. The campus is situated in easily accessible and well connected roads.
