JNIMS is a new Medical College located at the picturesque Porompat in Imphal East in the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital which was established in 1989. It is very well connected and easily approachable from different parts of the town. The main physical components of the Institute are, Administrative Block, Library, 3 Pre Clinical Departments (Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry), 5 para Clinic

al Departments (Pharmacology,Pathology,Microbiology,Community Medicine and Forensic Medicine) and 10 clinical departments based on the 300 bedded J.N. Hospital (Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Ophthalmology, ENT, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, Radio-Diagnosis, Pediatrics and Dentistry) along with Central record department, wards, OPDs, casualty and trauma center.

The Resident Doctors’ Association,JNIMS,Imphal JNIMS Students Association - JSA JNIMS express our profound grief and strongly condemn the brutal r**e and murder of a female second year PGT of R G Kar Medical College, Kolkata while on duty hours inside the seminar hall.
This heinous crime is an attack on the very values of humanity and dignity that the medical fraternity stands for. Beyond the need for justice, this monstrous crime highlights a broader issue of violence against women and that hospitals aren’t spared of such horrific incidents.

Resident Doctors’ Association,JNIMS,Imphal participated in Sit-In Protest regarding the recent Bomb attack at the residence of Dr. M. Amitkumar, a Neuro Surgeon of JNIMS hospital. RDA have condemned the act of violence in the strongest term and asked the concerned authorities and government to take up the necessary steps to ensure safe and secure environment for all the Medical Personnel.

This is Dr. Anjuga.M.D( OG ). Worked as Asst Prof of gynaec,Rani Govt Hospital, Pudukkottai, Tamilnadu. Yesterday, this OBSTETRICIAN, died of PPH/ DIC, while delivering her baby at Govt Pudukkottai Medical College Hospital. R.I.P. So the next time, a pt dies at a Govt Hospital, don't blame the dr. The drs at that govt hospital gave their very best effort &treatment, yet cdn't save this gynaecologist. Also, notice the background of her house. With the salary, we r paid as specialists & superspecialists in TN, we can afford only such houses. Pls support us, when we peacefully protest fr a better pay. And gynaecologists also die in delivery related complications. Don't always blame the govt dr, when there is an unfortunate death at a Govt Hospital. May her soul rest in peace. R.I.P. A monumental tragedy.😰
