Akshadhaa Foundation School Akshadhaa Foundation is registered as not for profit trust in 2012 and is working boldly for children in the spectrum with varied interventions.

Registered not for profit trust,that is working with children with autism and other neuro-developmental disability, providing therapeutic interventions, life skill training & vocation skill training leading them towards meaningful engagement & employment. The parents are getting training and opportunities to learn strategies to work with their children to keep a smooth and generalized approach of

teaching. The foundation runs a school program which is also focusing on young adults in the Autism spectrum, imparting pre-vocation skill training of few short listed vocations. Research shows that adults with ASD require considerable supports. Possibly only 15% achieve independence, and another 20% function well in the presence of community based support. This points out the great need for studies, in order to improve the situation for the estimated 65% who are not independent or not “functioning well”. We at Akshadhaa have undertaken different projects
• Creating viable models of vocational units of bakery, industrial laundry, screen printing
• Horticulture unit for therapeutic purpose, training and employability
• Digital and print media training, office assistant training
• House keeping job training
• To reach out more number of children of lower socio economic background through sponsor modules
We would seek guidance and support from individuals and corporate sectors to help us create business modules through digital medium and technology

At Akshadhaa Foundation, we believe that education should be inclusive, empowering, and continuous. This year, we’re thrilled to share a new milestone in our journey the launch of Chapter 4 of our Community Outreach Program ETSM Sarathy!

In proud collaboration with the Block Education Officer and the Karnataka Education Department, we have officially started working with government schools to strengthen inclusive education. Through this initiative, children with special needs will receive life skills training and pre-vocational support, helping them build confidence and independence.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our school partners and the Karnataka Education Department for trusting our vision and walking alongside us to build a more inclusive tomorrow.

At Akshadhaa Foundation, we believe that true learning extends beyond the classroom walls. This 5th of June, our students visited a horticulture farm as part of our World Environment Day celebration. The day was a beautiful blend of sensory exploration and mindful connection with nature.

From feeling the soft textures of leaves and smelling the fragrance of herbs, to observing how each plant grows and thrives, our students immersed themselves in the wonders of the natural world. Such experiences are at the heart of Akshadhaa’s approach to holistic development — nurturing curiosity, empathy, and a sense of belonging to the world around us.

As a living souvenir of this special day, each student planted a tulsi plant in a pot, bringing home a piece of nature to care for and cherish. We’re proud to create these meaningful learning moments that build not just skills, but a lifelong love for learning and living in harmony with the environment.
