गरबा ready

Longings of a working mom.

When your munchkin has mother daughter गरबा in school, but you are stuck in your work, these are the feelings I keep oscillating between.

1.Wish I, too, could be with her. Why this work??
2. My patients need me more.
3.At least I have a family who can take care of her. And she doesn't have to miss it totally.
4. Is she going to complain about this when she grows up?
5. Or she will grow up a self-reliant, confidant individual?

Ah, these feeling know no bounds!

A day to remember!

This profession has given me a lot of things, but what it gave me today is worth remembering a lifetime. I always yearned for the feeling of being useful to people around. Today, I proved myself worthy of bringing a life that is very close to me, my own nephew. The anxiety and happiness can not be expressed in words. I spent the entire night in the hospital, waiting for that little life to come out. And when it did happen (with a lot of difficulties), which I am avoiding discussing because not many are interested in the journey, I still had to act poised when I was overwhelmed with emotions. That's our profession.

I am very, very grateful for getting this opportunity to bring those beautiful smiles and happiness in the lives of new parents.
