A C-section recovery requires patience, care, and gradual return to routine. Light work can usually be resumed after 2–3 weeks, but heavy tasks should wait 6–8 weeks. You may feel like getting back to normal quickly, but your abdominal muscles, stitches, and internal layers need time. Overexertion can cause pain, bleeding, or delayed recovery. Prioritize rest, nutrition, and slow movement. Let your body rebuild strength at its own pace. Seek help for chores that involve lifting or bending.

During pregnancy, understanding your health and your baby’s development is one of the most empowering things you can do. That’s why certain tests become an essential part of prenatal care. The CBC Test helps check your hemoglobin levels, red and white blood cells, and overall health—ensuring your body is getting the support it needs. The Thyroid Test is equally important, as proper thyroid function plays a major role in maintaining hormonal balance throughout pregnancy. Even small imbalances can affect energy levels, mood, and your baby’s growth, so early monitoring helps keep everything on track. And of course, the Ultrasound Scan offers a beautiful and reassuring glimpse into your baby’s world.

"Air pollution increases pregnancy risks — and clean air is prenatal care too. Harmful pollutants can affect maternal lungs, reduce oxygen supply, and impact fetal growth, leading to complications like low birth weight, preterm delivery, and high blood pressure during pregnancy. Protecting expectant mothers starts with protecting the air they breathe.

This awareness message reminds us to monitor air quality, use masks on high-pollution days, maintain clean indoor air, and prioritise regular antenatal check-ups.
Healthy mothers and healthy babies deserve healthier air.".

Irregular periods can feel confusing—especially when you know you’re not stressed and everything in your daily life seems balanced. But stress isn’t the only factor that affects your cycle. Hormones respond to a wide range of internal signals, and even subtle shifts can change the timing of your period. Things like nutrition changes, sudden weight loss or gain, intense exercise, sleep disruptions, thyroid fluctuations, PCOS, or coming off birth control can all throw off your cycle without you realizing it. Sometimes the body simply needs time to recalibrate. If your cycle shifts by a few days now and then, it might just be your hormones adjusting naturally.

Can you really delay your periods safely? The answer is yes—but only when done correctly and under proper guidance. Many women choose to delay their periods for travel, exams, special events, or personal comfort. Medical science offers safe options, but it’s important to understand how they work and when they are appropriate. Generally, period delay is achieved using hormonal medications such as progesterone tablets or by adjusting birth control pills. These methods work by preventing the natural drop in hormones that triggers menstruation.

A 19-year-old girl had never had her periods—not even once. For five years, she visited multiple doctors, hoping for answers, but nothing seemed to explain her condition. When she came to me, her physical examination revealed that her va**na and uterus were completely normal. This suggested that her anatomy was not the cause of her missing periods. However, when I evaluated her endometrial lining using imaging, it appeared abnormal. This raised suspicion for underlying conditions affecting the uterus, including hormonal imbalances, genetic factors, or ge***al tuberculosis—a rare but possible cause in some regions. Missing periods, also called primary amenorrhea, can be emotionally challenging, especially when the cause remains unknown for years.

Iron Injection in Pregnancy – Why It’s Important
During pregnancy, your body needs extra iron to support your growing baby and increased blood volume. Iron deficiency can lead to anemia, causing fatigue, weakness, and dizziness. When oral iron supplements aren’t enough or aren’t tolerated due to side effects, iron injections are a safe and effective way to restore iron levels quickly, ensuring both mother and baby remain healthy.

If you’re having difficulty conceiving, one common cause could be blocked fallopian tubes. The fallopian tubes are essential for the egg to travel from the o***y to the uterus. Two key tests help evaluate tubal patency: Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) and laparoscopy. HSG uses X-rays and a contrast dye to check whether the tubes are open, while laparoscopy provides a more detailed look inside the abdomen and pelvis. Early evaluation can guide treatment and improve your chances of conception.
