1.Correct your Hb levels if anaemic
2.Start folic acid,it prevents birth defects in babies
3.correct your bone strength ,check bone density and vitamin D levels
4.Check your thyroid status,hypo or hyper thyroid status gives poor pregnancy outcome.
5.Shed those extra kilos ,prevent high blood pressure or diabetes during pregnancy
6.Correct any of your pre.existing medical disorder in your body to prevent complications during pregnancy.
7.Tone your body,exercise ,increase your stamina and strength.
8.Have stress free environment at home .
9.Ensure being overburdened at work place,plan for leave
10.Ensure proper sleep.

Myths and truths about Normal delivery and Caesarean Section
Myth1.Delivery occurs normal if woman is very active throughout pregnancy ,no matter what!
Truth1.Delivery is physiological process ,governed by many factors ,antenatal ( woman's health,bp,lie of baby,medical fitness etc),intranatal( power,passage and passenger)means ,woman shd get good pains( uterine contraction),mouth of uterus shd open( cx dilatati
on), baby shd have no dispropotion with mother's pelvis, that means passage accommodates well,passenger ( baby) shd be healthy ,not deprived ,not overfed or large.
It shd be head down ( most preferable) position.
Myth 2.once a cesarean is always cesarean
Truth2.it depends on reason for 1st section..if same persists like small pelvis ,big baby, high bp,breech ( head up) ,no pains etc ..then c section..otherwuse normal Labour possible as good as 70 percent cases.
Myth 3. Normal Labour has no complications only cesarean is ultimate doomed condition .
Truth 3.labour is considered normal when outcome for both mother and baby is good..it's only vaginally delivery otherwise. Cut and stitches ,haemorrhage( bleeding ,infection ) can be there in both.
Myth 4.Normal Labour doesn't lead to obesity but c section is bound to give u big abs .
Truth 4.Both cases u have extended abs bec of baby..which needs intensive workout post delivery to gain normal tone and shape plus balanced diet.
Myth5. Post cesarean, one has to eat lot of laddoos and ghee to gain strength, otherwise ..weakness
Truth 5.Ghee is good as galatogogue but in small quantity .u just need 300 kcal more than prepregnant status for optimum feeding..rest is stored as fat.

1.Well balanced diet ,with more protein ( Soya/ eggs/poultry/cottage cheese/nuts /beans/Tofu)
2.Change your exercise routine ,to more intense one ,as your BMR going low and body tends to store fat,incorporate strength training to build muscle mass and bone density
3.Avoid very hot and spicy food or high caffeinated drinks to avoid hot flushes!
4. Drink lots of water ,to stay hydrated ,to prevent wrinkling and supple skin and avoid fatigue and urinary tract infections.
5.Take a handful of nuts ( Almonds,cashews,walnuts,raisins,cranberries,figs),they give good fats to boost your HDL cholesterol and fat soluble vitamins get absorbed better
6.life style modification..like wear breathy attire,plan your routine well to avoid anxiety and stress.
7.Have time for recreation and relaxation too.
8.Get your basic tests done ,whole body check up and cancer screening as advised for ur age!
9.Remain active, not only physically but mentally to avoid early dementia or Alzeimers!
10.Never hesitate to see your gynec in case of any exaggerated menopausal symptoms or problems.
11.never ignore post menopausal bleeding ..it's warning signal for cancers of reproductive tract
12.Dont ignore bone health, consult if increases fatigue or pain in body.
